Shopping - malls, open air markets, moped, bicycle, surf board rentals, restaurants and bars are all with in a 10-minute, half mile walk away. Costco, Walmart and Kmart are conveniently located by the airport. Golf courses, both public and private are close by. Beaches - our unit is conveniently located across the street from Charley Young Beach and around the corner from the Cove surfing beach. These beaches are a 3-acre beach park located at the north end of Kamaole I Beach and south of Kalama beach park. Safe for swimming, snorkeling & surfing. The sand is soft, smooth and slopes very gently into the ocean. The area is sheltered from the wind and is also a favorite destination for boogie boarders and snorkeling with tropical fish, the humuhumunukunukuapua'a official state fish & the endangered green sea turtles.

While strolling along the beach and looking for shells, you will be taking in the most beautiful sunsets you will ever see. The Cove offers the best year round beginning and intermediate surf spot in South Maui. Many surf schools are located here. Listen to the locals, when you hear them say 'overhead' or 'double overhead' hit the Cove 'Kowabunga' surfs up. We are also centrally located. A short, 20 minute drive (approximately 14 miles) from Kahului Airport (OGG). Since there is so much to see and do on all over Maui, We suggest getting a rental car. All major car companies are available at the airport. If you do not rent a car, there is very reliable door to door transportation services such as Maui Shuttle or Speedy Shuttle.

These are great options sine Maui has expanded their public bus transportation service. You can now get to and from all the major areas by bus. The Kihei area is almost completely covered to be able get anywhere you need quickly, shopping, restaurants, bars, most attractions and even more great beaches. A few activities we recommend are: Maui Ocean Center Aquarium (optional scuba with the sharks), Pacific Whale Center whale watch or snorkel boat to Molokini, a cocktail or dinner cruise, learn to surf at the cove, Ulalena, a spectacular stage production based on the historical legends of Hawaii, Warren & Annabelle’s comedy & magic show, Kupanaha Maui Magic Show, Maui Tropical Plantation, Iao Valley, zip line tour, horseback riding, hiking, Atlantis or the Reef Dancer yellow submarine, helicopter tour to remote untouched areas, little beach (clothing optional) 'the road to Hana' or simply relax and spend a day at the worlds finest spa close by, the Grand Wailea Spa.
