This chalet is nestled in the coastal woods of Downeast Maine, within 15 minutes of the West Quoddy Lighthouse, the easternmost point of the US, and within 20 minutes of Lubec. Lubec is best known as the gateway to Campobello Island, home of FDR’s famous summer retreat, now an international park, and East Quoddy Lighthouse. This small coastal village offers grocery shopping, a bank/ATM, post office, hardware store, a few eateries and small shops in which to browse. Lubec is home to the Summer Keys adult music program, and the Plein Aire artists. Enjoy listening to live musicians practice throughout town, observe artists painting, or simply watch the seals floric in the Lubec narrows.
Lubec's Festival By The Sea is held in September. 25 minutes south is Machias, home of the Blueberry Festival in August. 40 minutes north is Eastport, ME, home of the Salmon Festival in September, another 25 minutes north of Eastport is Calais, home the International Festival in August.
