New England in the winter is wonderful. The view is amazing from your home. We have enjoyed exploring the area with all it's beauty, the clear sky at night is with all the stars and blue skies in the morning. We really enjoyed our stay and we hope to come back.

Oceanfront between Odiorne Point & Wallis Sands!

Oceanfront between Odiorne Point & Wallis Sands!
  • 5 of 5
This meticulously cared for home is located in one of the desirable places along all of the New Hampshire coastline. "The Breakers" are an exclusive community of oceanfront homes located on the only street (a quiet horseshoe drive that cradles a private duckpond) on the ocean side of Ocean Blvd. between Odiorne Point State Park and Wallis Sands State Beach. This rental is one of those few homes that make up "The Breakers" and is right on the waterfront of the Atlantic Ocean. It is a peaceful and rare undisturbed portion of New Hampshire's seacoast with breathtaking views of sunrises over the ocean and the mesmerizing Isles of Shoals. Not only that, but because of it's rare location, it is only a short drive to downtown Portsmouth, a historical and upscale yet happening New England seaport city where there are an abundance of shops, restaurants, and forms of entertainment, in case one ever feels like leaving blissful serenity for just the right amount of cultured liveliness. I have had the pleasure of renting this home multiple times. I absolutely love the place!

Welcome Spring

  • 5 of 5
We are returning to this property and loved coming back to this rocky cove. I still could feel the pull of the tide internally as we headed back to our home. Nancy and Bob are excellent hosts, the house is in great condition and very welcoming. We had great weather and managed to get to Boston for a concert. Such a great way to welcome the spring season. A bonus was interacting with a group of lobstermen combing the beach for traps that had been washed ashore.

Excellent Family Getaway

  • 5 of 5
This was an outstanding family getaway for our new family of four. We spent a week in this home with our 15 month old and our 1 month old and it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy our little ones. The location was perfect. We were able to walk to and from the beach with strollers and the views were fantastic. The deck overlooking the water was a huge selling point for us since we planned to spend most of our time at the house and it did not disappoint. This home very clean and had everything we needed for a week long stay with two little ones. The installed child gates at the top of the stairs inside and out on the deck really made all the difference in the world for us with a toddler - she was safe roaming around upstairs and could play safely inside and outside. Overall this was a great home and a great vacation. Prime location, owners were great to work with house was wonderful! We will return again in the future!

Peace and Serenity

  • 5 of 5
We stayed for a week at this lovely cottage and can only recommend it highly to anyone who wants to 'get away from it all' while still being close to all the activities one might want to engage in. We do not live far from this destination, but felt a million miles from home. We soaked in the sounds and sights of the ocean and walked on the beach and enjoyed the total relaxation. (The sea air certainly makes you sleep well too!) The cottage is well appointed and clean and yet still manages to feel homey and warm. I am looking forward to staying here again...I'm sure you will too...!

We'll be back!

We'll be back!

We only stayed for a week but wished we could have stayed longer! Our young family enjoyed the house. It was pretty clean (except a few dead tiny flies around) and furnished with everything we needed to enjoy the rainy days indoor. Kitchen was also nicely equipped with everything you need to cook and serve (we cooked a mean lobster meal). Patio is a huge plus with the amazing view and the warm sun toasting us. It was nice. Can't wait to go back!
Owner was also very nice, quick to reply to our questions, accommodating and easy to talk to. Another big plus.

Lovely getaway with lots to do

  • 5 of 5
Our family stayed at The Breakers for a 4-day getaway this June. We had perfect weather and a wonderful time. The pictures are a perfect representation of this property, with the exception of showing that it is one half of a duplex. We had the place to ourselves and even if the other people were there, it would still be perfectly private unless you were both out on the decks at the same time.

We expected to just hang out on the rocky beach every day, relaxing and enjoying being by the ocean, but it turned out there were a ton of fun things to do, all within a 15-minute drive. We toured the USS Albacore and Fort Constitution. We visited Strawberry Banke Museum in Portsmouth, and shopped around Portsmouth as well. We had dinner twice in Portsmouth (and cooked in twice -- the kitchen was well-equipped) and even popped up to Kittery Trading Post for a quick visit one day.

So the 7-yo could play in the sand one day, we went to Wallis Sands beach, only about a half mile down the road.

We loved the deck, the view, the cheery brightness of the home and how clean it was. If we had any complaints, it would be that the bedrooms were in the basement and we couldn't hear the lapping of the waves lulling us to sleep. A small complaint, so you can tell what a wonderful stay we had. Thank you, Nancy and Bob!
