Exquisite, 1883 home with intimate appeal located in the Heart of Savannah's Historic District.
Conveniently located near historic landmarks, restaurants, and shopping. Beautifully decorated home with traditional furnishings. Features include living room, dining room, spacious bedrooms, and private courtyard.
The house has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and sleeps up to 8 people utilizing a sleeper sofa in the living room. The property has a full kitchen, washer/dryer, fine furnishings, off street parking, and other amenities too numerous to list.
My name is Robbie Bell and my mother's name is Helen Richey. We own this home together. I work in real estate. Helen lives in Atlanta and is retired from sales. Helen handles most of the reservations and I maintain and oversee the property on a regular basis. This picture was taken while visiting Las Vegas.
I love to travel. After having the opportunity to travel to many different cities, I still believe that Savannah is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The history, architecture, and local culture of Savannah are all unique. What better way to experience the architecture and history of Savannah than staying in a beautiful historic home? I really can't think of any.
The Owner purchased this house in 2007
I already owned a home in this block and this home became available. Mom wanted to have a home that she and her husband could stay in when she visited Savannah. This seemed to be a good fit for our family.
My husband and I stayed at the property for our son's wedding on October 25th. The house was lovely and contained everything we needed. The owners were very helpful and nice as well. The location was great. Just a short walk to the river and Columbia square where our son was married. We would definately stay there again.
Everything was planned for downtown for our son's wedding. We decided to "move" downtown from our home on one of the islands surrounding Savannah. Best decision. We had more time to enjoy our family and friends without driving back and forth all weekend. This townhome is gorgeous and was perfect for our family. We even had a house full of groomsmen the morning of the wedding for brunch, football, and pictures. The courtyard was ideal, too. Everything was furnished beautifully! Truly a home away from home!
My family and I spent three delightful days in this home. It is beautifully furnished and well appointed. We especially appreciated the private courtyard in the back which was ideal for gathering for coffee or pre-dinner drinks. The dedicated parking place was a plus too. We were able to walk to restaurants, easily access the wharf area, and stroll to the many museums and historic houses.
We (7 former HS classmates) enjoyed stayng in such a beautiful house in Savannah! The location was perfect, we walked everywhere and felt very safe. The house is decorated beautifully , the beds were extremely comfortable. Although we did not cook , the kitchen was fuly stocked. We recomend The Funky Cafe for breakfast where you can cook your own pancakes on the griddle on your table. We also enjoyed the Shrimp Company on the Riverfront. We enjoyed the City market and a walking Ghost Pub tour. We definitely would like to return again and would consider staying at this property agian. Robbie and Helen were very easy to work with, the entire reservation process went very smoothly.
My daughters (grown) and I had the pleasure of staying at this lovely historic home recently. It was an opportunity for us to reconnect as we no longer all live in the same town. Savannah is not new to us
So we weren't interested in all the touristy
Things. Instead we opted for general sightseeing and shopping. Broughton street is the place to be for that. We certainly had fun visiting all the shops there. I wanted the place we stayed in to have charm and a separate bedroom for each of us. This home did that and we enjoyed our time there. It has everything
You can think if to make your stay comfortable. I would certainly go again. Robbie and Helen were great to work with
Just some general info for future occupants - this is an older home with a stairway upstairs (20 steps) and it has three nice size bedrooms with two baths located at each end of the hall. (Half bath downstairs ) Fireplaces everywhere! There is some noise from the street heard in the master bedroom
But this was a minor detail given that the
Location on Broughton street was ideal for us. Five stars all the way !
What a perfect house and location to stay with a small group in Savannah. Don't stay anywhere else. The house is beautifully and tastefully decorated with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, wireless and all the amenities you need. I work and live in the hotel industry and I would highly recommend this property to anyone that is travelling with small group this is the perfect location. Thank you Helen and Robbie for providing a beautiful southern charmed location for my family from Australia !
