Our new vacation spot on the Gulf Coast

For years we hvae been going to the area of South Walton County in Florida. That likely has changed. The owner was a pleasure to deal with even though our plans seemed to keep changing.

The Condo was very well furnished and had a great location on the coast. The pier was a nice place to play and fish when the Gulf was to turbulent. The beach had easy access.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

This unit was much nicer than the pictures show. It was decorated very nice. It is so roomy with the large living room. The upstairs bedrooms were nice and roomy also with plenty of privacy. We really enjoyed the gorgeous views of the bay from the balcony. Our family enjoyed the Olympic pool. The owner was very friendly and welcomed us very graciously. She offered many interesting things to do during our stay. We also enjoyed being able to walk to the Seafood Restaurant near by at Peg Leg Pete's. The food was excellent.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway

Condo needed many minor repairs. Comode downstais wasn't properly bolted down. Comode upstairs ran water all night. Sofa Sleeper had broken springs. Box springs in spare bedroom was broken notified Owner and no results for my whole 2 weeks stay. Also air conditioning didn't cool upstairs bedroom very well. Advertised for a Boat Slip and there isn't one for this Condo. The Area is very nice loved it. The Condo Management Kept the grounds very clean. The Pool is very nice and big. Nice location on the Island too.

Owner's Response: I have repaired the "minor" repairs. My Mom was in hospital and I was very busy with her. I did offer to change out the box springs. The renter actually told me they moved a twin water bed from the other bedroom and placed it in the broken one without asking me until after it was done. I decided to leave it and change it out after they checked out, since they had already moved the water bed. They did not mention the other repairs. Also the adv. does not say a boat slip. It reads "pier for boating and docking." I did explain to them upon arrival, that you can only leave the boat for a couple of days because we have 100 units to share the docking spaces. They are not reserved. It is first come first served. Also the renter soiled my sofa pillows with blood and they were left dirty and also the pillow shams on all the beds were soiled and dirty. I'm sorry they were unhappy. I do strive to keep up my condo that I have owned for 20 years and most people really love it. Usually when a large number of people stay in the unit there are more damages. I have had it rented this year since February. If no one tells me of the repairs needed I don't know about the problem and can't get it repaired. All of these problems were not brought to my attention. I was only told of the box springs in the upstairs bedroom. I laid on it when I did come out and it was hardly noticeable. I also noticed a tear in my new comforter on the queen bed in the master bedroom. I didn't deduct any deposit for the damages that I received.

Our family has stayed at this condo for several years. We love it and keep coming back to it. It is very comfortable and decorated lovely with personal beach theme.

We enjoy the never crowded olympic pool and the large spacious grounds which are landscaped beautifully.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
