Disappointment does not even begin to describe our feelings when we walked into this home. The home is misrepresented in the pictures that are posted on VRBO. The home is dirty and in dire need of many repairs. An old broken bench is the first item that greets you at the top of the gate. The bedding was disgusting – the master comforter has what appeared to be blood and food smeared on it. The pillow case on my daughter’s bed upstairs looked as though someone wiped their nose all over it. The dining room chairs looked as if a child had played with their food in the chairs. We could not sit in the chairs without covering them. The kitchen pantry had bug spray sitting next to food items along with an array of all types of items that should not be in a food pantry or near food. The walls throughout the home were damaged, dirty and in terrible need of painting and repair. The carpet is dirty with stains on it up the stairs and in the hall way. The upstairs’ bathroom has a hole in the ceiling and the fan does not work. Both showers are molded and need serious repair. The towels were dingy and dirty and what was not dingy and dirty was torn or had holes in them. We had to wash the towels before we could use them. There were a total of 4 wash clothes in the home. The dishes, pots, pans and silverware were nasty. All of these items had to be washed before we could use them. The coffee pot was grimy. The grill was filthy with old food along with food that had fallen through the grates. The grill is a health hazard. Inside the kitchen cabinets were dirty. Basically every item in the home needed to be cleaned before it could be used. The pool area is old – the paint is peeling up off the concrete. The chairs are not usable. They are dirty and broken. The garage area is full of broken, used and worn out beach chairs and toys that are just strewn everywhere. We feel we are owed a refund due to the misrepresentation and the state of this home during our stay. The pictures have to be glamour shots or were taken right after the renovation. The house in no way looks like the pictures. The house is in dire need of a deep clean. It is just a hodgepodge of mismatched items that need to be replaced or repaired.

This was our second stay at Donna's house over the Thanksgiving holiday. It is a wonderful time of year to visit - not very crowded, yet warm enough to enjoy the beach and pool. We love Donna's house for many reasons! The location is perfect - away from the congestion of downtown, right across the street from the beach, trolley stop right outside the front door, a couple of blocks from the Publix, and in a great, quiet, neighborhood. The house is perfect for our family, with a lovely heated pool downstairs, and very child proof with a lock out of their reach. One thing the pictures don't show is the nice screened in porch added over the pool, which keeps it very clean and cool, as well as the lush landscaping that makes the pool and house very private. Our kids love the rainbow lights during our night swims, as well as digging through all the bins of beach and pool toys! We always find Donna's house spotless, with everything we might need ready for us. We also appreciate the washer/dryer, several tv's with many channels, the wi-fi, and the abundance of nice beach and bath towels. But most importantly, Donna responds immediately if you need anything or have any questions or concerns. We are already planning for next November!

This place was perfect! Enough room and entertainment options for everyone from a 3 yr old to my in-laws and everyone in between. I really liked that we could feed the kids at the bar counter and all gather around the dining room table. The location on mid island is perfect, right across the street from the beach, very easy to go to the beach everyday. It's also right next to the trolly stop and far enough from the boardwalk that you won't feel crowded. Publix is 5 min car ride. When you're done you can just pop across again and cool off in the pool. I have back pains and the bed was perfect. There wasn't a *thing* that we needed that we couldn't find. The owners stopped by to pickup some tools and they were lovely people. We are very much looking forward to our stay next year. No more having to search and search for the perfect place...
