Further details for this vacation cabin rental in Asheville, North Carolina

Biltmore Estate: Most people who visit our cabin plan at least one trip to the fabulous Biltmore Estate, about 25 minutes away. The Biltmore Estate has continually expanded to restore more rooms to explore. They always have a special event going on and is just a great way to spend a day no matter the weather. Treetop Mountain Vista has available vouchers which allow you to purchase tickets for the estate at a reduced price (even lower than the internet discount). Besides the house they also have a winery, gardens, restaurants and gift stores. They are open all year round.

Hiking: Treetop Mountain Vista is very accesible not only to Asheville but wonderful hiking trails. Even in the winter it is possible to access the Parkway via Highway 151. Once up to the Parkway you can go in either direction for trails (cabin has a National Geographic Map with all the trails in the area). In the winter in the event the Parkway is closed you can park where Hwy 151 meets the Parkway and walk in either direction to access the Shut In Trail which is also part of the Mountain to Sea trail. You can even walk on the Parkway to your heart's content.

Asheville: Treetop Mountain Vista is only 20 minutes to the city of Asheville. Asheville is known around the world as a fantastic destination. Why is that? There are so many reasons it is hard to mention them all, but among the most popular are: architecture, restaurants, artists, galleries, quirky shops, coffee shops, mountains all around, mild yet varied weather, friendly people, the North Carolina Arboretum, live theatre, motion picture theatres galore, the Fine Arts Theatre, sidewalks teeming with people ALL the time, state of the art hospitals and medical facilities, the world famous Biltmore Estate, the nations happiest community (no kidding, it was on ABC and I can vouch for it), many nearby quaint villages, a high class mall, breath taking beauty. Need I say more. You'll find the environment at our cabin to be breath taking as well! I promise, you'll have a great time!

Other Activities: hot air baloon rides

Fantastic Visit!

My visit to your cabin was truly one of my most memorable vacations. I could have stayed on your balcany and just soaked in the beauty of the Pisgah National Forest and never have left that spot. I am however glad that we did venture out to explor the Blue Ridge Parkway (also breathtaking) and The BIltmore Estate which was extremely interesting and well worth the short drive. Thank you SO much!

My husband and I had a wonderful anniversary 4 day weekend. It was nice to get away. The highlight was to wake up in the morning and see nothing but the mountains. My only regret was that it did not snow while we were there. It was suppose to snow the day we left. We wanted one more day but we had to get back to reality. I would go back again and will as soon as we can sneak off again.

We just returned from a 2 week stay at Treetops and already miss it! The evening views from the deck were so fantastic that we never even thought about going "out" for dinner. We were so lucky to have clear night skies and a full moon for 3 days, WOW! Our dog, Bubba, was right at home and enjoyed watching the resident hummingbird feed. This was a vacation that we'll never forget!! Nancy, you have a truly great palace there.
Owner's Response: Linda and Mike, it truly was a pleasure having you stay at Treetop. It was loads of fun meeting you and Bubba. Looking forward to your next visit. Nancy

Thank you Nancy for a wonderful holiday stay! The cabin was decorated beautifully with a tree, wreaths and other greenery. This was our second vrbo in Asheville but the first one out in the woods, and we loved it. For those of you who take your work on vacation, the wireless internet worked without a hitch. The kitchen had everything we could have possibly needed and there was plenty of space. For great day hiking we loved Chimney Rock...for beautiful stained glass and other regional artwork we recommend Kress Emporium and the Woolworth art galleries. We will be back!!
