'we LOVED your house at Lewes': Letter From September 7, 2007
Hi Seth, I just want to let you know how much we LOVED your house at Lewes. My Mom absolutely adored it, and didn't want to leave. Neither did the rest of us. It was so homey and comfortable and we looked forward to returning home every night!
It was truly our best family vacation. We all fell in love with Lewes itself, and I thought Cape Henlopen was fantastic. I also want to thank you for the wonderful suggestions on places to go and things to do. It was so helpful. We had breakfast at the bookstore cafe, my Mom loved Cafe Azafran, and we had a great meal at Striper Bites.
We also ate at home for a few breakfasts and dinners, and the kitchen made it a snap. We put in a reservation for the same week next summer, but we might be interested in renting a different week or even possibly an additional week. Please let us know when you start thinking about booking reservations for next year.
Thanks again so much. Best wishes, E.S. & Family
A Home Away From Home: My family and I lived abroad for many years in Switzerland.
When we traveled abroad we always rented individual
properties because we are a family of six. Hotels were too
expensive and divded our family. We rented through the
internet but were never sure what we were getting ourselves
into. We never experienced a horrible situation but there
were some that could have been better. When we returned to
the US we just continued the tradition of renting via the
internet. Last summer I chose Lewes, DE as our base location
for our family vacation. On a vacation website I saw the 109
Jefferson listing. Sure it mentioned that it was a charming
cottage, in a historic district with a stunning sunroom, but I
was hesitant to believe what I read. The pictures looked nice
so we once again took a gamble and rented the property.
This place was the nicest, cleanest, comfortable place we ever
stayed in. Not only is it beautifully decorated and spot clean
but it feel
'Great location and great house': My mom, sisters, and I stayed here for three days in May and had a fabulous time! The house was perfect for us! The three beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. The kitchen was great for hanging out and relaxing. The sun room was a special treat, perfect for relaxing with some coffee in the morning. The living room was amazing with the most stunning heart pine floors I've ever seen! The house was perfectly located in easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants on 2nd St. The beach is walkable too, but we drove with all of our chairs and coolers and stuff. All in all, a great house in a great location!
