WORLD OF TENNIS CONDOS: While the condos have been the popular designation for guests to central Texas for over 30 years, the condos recently had $1.9 million spent on the exteriors. This condo has had in excess of $75,000 spent on the interior. Check the pictures & you will see.
WORLD OF TENNIS COMPLEX: Approximately 2 years ago, ClubCorp renovated the facility spending approximately $4 million. It is one of the finest Tennis & Workout Facilities in Texas. The pool is the shape of a Tennis Racket. What was originally the dining areas with great views, are now the workout area with beautiful views of the "Hill Country". This condo has a membership that allows all our guests to use the pool, workout facility, and the tennis courts.
LAKEWAY SWIM CENTER: Our newest addition to Lakeway fun, is the "Lakeway Swim Center" which is located at the front entrance to the World of Tennis Condos and across the street from condos 107-110-111-118. This is available to all of our guests. There also is a $250,000 skate board park for the children, and many other activities available.
GOLF: There are two golf courses, "Live Oak" and "Yaupon" that are available to all of our guests. The other two courses, "Flintrock" and "The Hills", are available to some ClubCorp members. We have golf courses galore in the Lakeway/Austin area. "Falconhead" is only 3-4 miles away & an excellent course. If you are coming from Dallas/Ft. Worth, I would suggest putting "Avery Ranch" on your list. It is located about 7 miles after you leave I-35 headed toward Lakeway. If coming from Houston, "Star Ranch", is a good choice & is east of Austin. South of Austin is "Grey Rock". Another 2 courses that are great, north of Austin is "Forest Creek" a favorite of many guests and a good rate, and Riverplace may be available to some guests & has one of the most scenic golf courses in the Austin/Lakeway area.. ClubCorp guests with "Society" should check on your options with their Society.
LAKE TRAVIS: Lake Travis is more than 25 miles long, 20 to 30 minutes from Austin. Great for skiing, sailing, or just boating, with numerous outstanding restaurants located on the lake with easy access.
BOATING: Lake Travis is one of the favorite destinations for guests wanting to enjoy boating on a large lake in Central Texas. While boats & trailers are not allowed in our complex, there are many good Marinas and places to dock your boat & leave your trailer. The Marinas to contact are; Lakeway Marina, Hurst Harbor Marina, or Emerald Point Marina.
SHOPPING: While we have had many great places for guests to go shopping, we now have a major shopping center located at the Intersections of Hwy. 71 and Ranch Road 620 & Bee Caves Road. It is a "Small Town Atmosphere" with drive up shops as you would have in any town 50 years ago with a courthouse in the center of town. There is a "Dillards" in the center. Across the street is another shopping center that has the big stores, like Lowes, Best Buy, etc.
RESTAURANTS: We are really lucky in this area with the restaurants we have had for a long time, and with the new restaurants that have been added recently. One of our favorites is the Italian restaurant "Rocco's" at the Lakeway Blvd. entrance to Lakeway. Hudson-on-the-Bend has been one of the favorites of our guests for many years. If you like Mexican Food, try "El Arroyo's" on Bee Caves, or "Rosie's" on Hwy. 71. The really most popular restaurant in the Lakeway/Lake Travis/Austin area is the "Oasis" with sunset views of Lake Travis. If you like Bar-B-Que, stop at Rudy's on Ranch Road 620 north of the intersection with R.R. 2222.
