We visited this vacation home in mid April, 2008. All of us were very comfortable from the time we first opened the door. It was clean and cozy. Having a family room and a livingroom was great because those who didn't want to watch TV, could sit by the fireplace.
The layout was perfect for 4 single women. I would recommend it for families as well. The sheets and blankets were provided, along with more than enough towels for everyone. This saved a lot of space in the vehicle, so we were able to shop till we dropped.
The backyard deck provided lots of space to sit in the sun. The property was large and well maintained, so children would have a place to run around.
We originally intended to stay in Cape Cod, but it was too expensive. So we chose this location. There was a lovely beach, just a few blocks away, which was great for walks along the coast.
(By the way, we drove to Cape Cod and found it was not all it was cracked up to be.)
We were within a 30 minute drive to New Hampshire and a further 18 miles from Maine, so there was a lot to do. The location could not have been better.
Believe it or not, there was even a train close by to travel into Boston without using the car.
If you eat at the Causeway Restaurant, order one meal for two people and take it home. It's far too much for one person. The Chicken Parmesan was delicious.
As for the owners, they were very friendly and helpful. A light was left on for us, because we arrived late. A note was waiting on the counter to provide any help we might need.
We would stay in this area again, it was very peaceful and relaxing.
