Puerto Rico Experience

We rented this unit over spring break, March 16-22. The condo itself is very nice with everything you need to feel at home on vacation. One item we were disappointed with was the gas grill being out of gas when we arrived. We also were unable to get the TV to work in the master bedroom. Other than that, the pool area was very clean and the entire complex is very well maintained. They are still doing some construction so it is pretty new. The water slide and "water park" they talk about was only open two days during our stay. This was probably due to not many people in the complex during the week. The atmosphere was very laid back and relaxing during the week due to most of the units being empty until the weekend.
If you plan on renting in this area, you will need a rental car. The area surrounding the complex wasn't one I would walk around in and feel 100% safe. The complex itself is secure and we were very comfortable being there. Driving in and out of the area took a little getting used to as does driving in Puerto Rico in general. The good thing about this location is its proximity to shopping in the Carolina area, golf courses, San Juan, Luquillo Beach, and El Yunque rain forest. We were able to fit in quite a few side trips during our stay. Beware of poorly marked roads and be sure you have a reliable map if you don't want to waste a lot of time trying to find your way around. Stick to the main highways as much as possible and you will be able to get around.
Our condo was very clean and tidy. The owner had someone meet us just outside the airport to escort us to the location and that was critical as I don't think we could have found it on our own the first time. We enjoyed Old San Juan, the Bacardi distillery tour, golfing, the beach, El Yunque rain forest, and the shopping. I would recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a peaceful location and doesn't mind the driving adventure in Puerto Rico!!
