Matunuck is a wonderful waterfront town which has been a beach community for the past 100 years. Come enjoy this town for what it has to offer from the songs of the birds in the morning to the crashing of the waves at night. Matunuck is a delightful, off the beaten path beach community which is still private in nature, or as private as you would like it to be. Activities include beachcombing, swimming, sunbathing, surfing, birdwatching, fishing, snorkeling, clamming, and nature walks. Come to unwind and go to the beach, have a soak in the outdoor jacuzzi, or even catch a Broadway musical at the famous 'Theater By The Sea'. What ever your intent, everything is at your fingertips including local restaurants, watering holes, and grocery shopping. The opportunities are endless, you can do as much, or as little as you desire. Please do not forget about how great Matunuck is in the fall. Temperatures are still high and all the crowds are gone. A perfect getaway for families

We spent time here in September and it was perfect.....there was
plenty of room for four adults and two children...the house
was just as described and clean upon our arrival....there is a well
put together binder that provides lots of information about everything
in the area.....the beach at East Matunuck was our favorite as
it was not as rocky as the one within walking distance...the
refuge (Trustee Pond) was within biking distance and wonderful
for birders and those who appreciate nature.....everything we
needed to drive to was very close.....the outdoor shower was used
after every beach day and now I will look for one of those in future rentals! We were all very pleased with our time here.

Perfect house for a relaxing time

We had a fantastic vacation. This rental property was exactly as described in the listing. Only a short walk to a beautiful beach, a nice size deck with a grill for cooking dinners and a hot tub for the perfect ending to a perfect day. It was a 10 minute ride to the Block Island Ferry and 35 minutes to Newport. Each day would begin with a walk along the ocean and then coffee and breakfast on the deck. We would end our nights with a walk down to the ice cream parlor and a soak in the hot tub with a glass of wine. We highly recommend renting this property if you are looking for a relaxing vacation.
