This spacious, 1,650 sq ft, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house, was recently completely remodeled by an interior designer. Almost everything is new: Appliances, A/C, furnace, flooring, bathrooms, patio, etc.
North lake is a quiet all sports lake; this home is very private and has a great southern view of the lake. The home is 10 minutes from Chelsea, which is where you will find Jeff Daniels' Purple Rose Theatre, art galleries and specialty shops, as well as, fine dining at the Common Grill. Dexter is just 15 minutes away with more shops and dining options. Ann Arbor sits just 25 short minutes away and offers a wide variety of shopping, dining, sports, arts and, of course, the University of Michigan.
Pinckney recreation area is less than a mile away and has miles and miles of hiking and mountain bike trails. You can ride you mountain bike to the famous Potawatami trail, which is an intense 17 mile trial.

North Lake is the most beautiful and private lake in the area
xPrivacy, quiet, view, no neighbors
Such a wonderful retreat! Surrounded by nature, the location is really quiet and peaceful. I loved having a scenic view of the lake from almost anywhere in the house. Really enjoyed the wildlife- birds, turtles, frogs, lots of fish. Kids had a great time in the water, husband fished and I enjoyed the patio! LOVE the wood, slate and limestone decor inside. The house fit our group perfectly, 2 stories had lots of sleeping and lounging options, and with two bathrooms- it never felt crowded. Open kitchen was a plus, nice modern appliances. Really appreciate the WiFi. No more than 15 minutes to restaurants (fine dining, pizza, sports bars, family), parks and playgrounds for the kids (if you can get them off the lake), a really nice local library, Downtown Chelsea and Dexter are cute and family friendly. Great communication with the owner. Would definitely recommend and WILL come back! Thanks for the memories!!
We had a great time at our stay at this cottage. The place is furnished nicely with room for our entire family of five and a few more. We tubed on the boat, fished and actually caught something, swam and played catch at the sandbar, and the boys caught turtles every chance they could. We had camp fires about every night right on the waters edge and if it became too uncomfortable outside you can still enjoy the lake in the air conditioned cottage due it's perch overlooking the lake and great window views. We really did not have a need to explore around since there is so much to do but maybe next time. I heard there are good biking trails close by. I would definitely recommend this place to either a family or even just a couple.
My stay at this home was absolutely something I will never forget. Unbelievable lake views, phenominal fire-lit dinners outside at night, quiet and secluded and near some of the best mountain biking/out door activity in the area and only a 15 minute drive into downtown Ann Arbor. Spectacular and in really good condition.
The location of the house is wonderful. It was simple to get to the house. There was not much parking space but that wasn’t a problem because our group of seven people never had to leave the house. The setup of the house is also great. While the bunk beds are not the most comfortable, the house easily sleeps eight. The page claimed to have two TV’s, one with cable, one without. While we were there, only one TV was present and the cable was lacking (also not a problem because we were outside the whole week). Also the page proclaimed to have a landline with free long distance but after a thorough sweep of the house no phone was found. The wifi worked wonderfully. The lake was very calm the whole week we were there, but not as deep as expected and filled with sea weed. There is a sand bar within swimming distance to go to and toss a ball around.
The reason that we gave the house four stars instead of five was because of cheap fixes (or lack thereof) that the owner used for small problems. In many locations on the bottom floor there were small problems that were covered up with inexpensive, insignificant fixes (i.e. the counter top is uneven, not allowing some of the drawers to close, that the owner attempted to level out using a deck of cards). The following are small problems that need to be fixed for me to grant five stars: Bottom bathroom’s closet door is easily removed. Bottom bathroom has two random holes in the wall. Bottom shower has a window that doesn’t close all the way, allowing bugs into the house. Drawers in the kitchen are missing handles. Dishwasher has trouble closing. Outside needs a bit of a paint job. Showers need more pressure. An outlet in the kitchen does not emit voltage.
