This 3400 square feet, three-story raised chalet features a large 15' vaulted master suite with an awesome view of the lake from its private balcony. Relax in the master bath with its Jacuzzi tub, Dry sauna, and steam shower for those sore muscles. Four other huge bedrooms and two additional full baths complete the sleeping accommodations. The family room features a 20' raised ceiling, a gorgeous window display, and a wood burning stone fireplace. The game room has an 8' Lexington pool table, large screen TV with DVD/VCR, Gaming table with Roulette, Craps, Black Jack, And Poker. This house is a perfect getaway with all the amenities. Our home sits on a large wooded lot with one huge deck in the front of the home for barbecue and relaxing and a smaller deck off the master slider for a view of the lake. Includes patio furniture and weber grill. Outside, enjoy the fire pit for nighttime fires and stargazing. The lake is within walking distance and allows fishing.

This house is perfect for the family or multiple families. We have the same house directly next door for the larger family reunions as well. The house has three levels and a full bath on each level. There is too many attractions to see, a 5 minute drive to Big Boulder ski area, 10 minutes to historic Jim Thorpe town carved within the two mountains. There you can enjoy a Locamotive train ride in the valley or a theatre show as well as shopping and ice cream shops and tea shops. 15 minutes will get you to the Camel Beach waterpark,with its large slides and wave pool. Only 5 minutes is the largest White water Rafting and Paint Ball center. Amenities are offered to each area with paddle boat rentals and canoe rentals as well as the Olympic size pool. You will love this house and location.

Other Activities: Biking, white water rafting, skiing, sledding, all within 5 minutes from house. Historic Jim Thorpe 15 minutes..

Perfect Group Ski House

This house was perfect for our long ski-weekend. It was close to both Jack Frost and Big boulder. It has PLENTY of room for our large group comfortably...18 of us. It was clean and well equipped. The sauna was cool as was the large steam shower (perfect after a day of skiing). Nice game room/tv room area for the older kids in our group. Very easy to set up and work with the owner. Beautiful windows! Nice remote area.....probably very pretty in the summer season as well... 3 levels.....of living! Modern. Can't reccommend more than Skiing....as it was all we did. Nice serving kitchen for large group. There are outlets nearby for the ride home. Be sure to bring your own sheets & blankets. Price was right for what we got!
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
Owner's Response: This is generally the response I receive from this home. The house is very spacious and has every amenity needed for a relaxing vacation.I will start to ask current renters to give a review as well so future renters can see why they must rent this home. I own the house next door and lot surrounding the house to make it that much more private and most importantly quiet.

Quiet, Comfortable, Scenic

Our original plan was to rent the place on Labor day weekend. Due to a family emergency, we had to postpone the trip. Alex was very understanding and accommodated our request with no complains.
Nice house. Very roomy, well laid out & beautiful scenery. Due to bad weather, we really couldn't explore the area but had a great time.

A great house for a decent-sized gathering

We rented this place for a low key, guys-only party / paintball weekend in September 2009 (the house is very close to Skirmish paintball). I was the main organizer for the event and upon arrival, my friends actually gave me a round of applause. The place is pretty huge with a number of distinct areas for hanging out. The pool table and the upstairs steam shower is worth the price of admission alone (the sauna didn't work while we were there but the owner is fixing that). The open layout 'great room' (living room / dining room / kitchen) features a big dinner table and a nice big TV; it's terrific for entertaining a decent sized group. Keep in mind though (as with any rental) that you really need to bring all your own stuff - dishwashing soap, hand towels, TP, etc. so definitely plan ahead. There are neighboring houses not too far from the place but it felt nicely private throughout the experience. All in all, the house was a very nice setting for the experience and we will certainly consider it again next time we are doing one of the many activities in the vicinity.

Great vacation house

My group really enjoyed this home. It had all the amenities we wanted, in a quite, peaceful setting. There are some good restaurants nearby, and the owner was easy to work with. I recommend this place!

We have a great July 4th weekend in your property and we were very pleased with this rental. The Property was clean, well kept, and had thought out amenities. There was plenty of room for my friends and family of 11 to spread out comfortably. Fishing, biking, water rafting, shopping are all within 30 minute drive. Alex was wonderful to work with - very prompt at getting back to answer any questions. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a great place to stay. We are really looking forward to coming back again.
