Another idyllic visit to a bucolic setting

First, I'd like to state that we have now booked this same property annually for 3 separate summers. We continue to return and enjoy it immensely.
The owners are prompt, courteous, responsive, and professional in dealing with renters/questions; with 'upgrades' noticeable each year; plus with additional assistance (even improvements) as needed during the stay. This summer's unusually oppressive heat prompted the owner to return with extra new fans to ensure everyone's comfort.
The home itself is a gloriously serene farmhouse "shabby chic". The decor is comfortable, inviting, and aesthetically pleasing; the amenities are wonderful (lovely pool, sauna, hot tub, great gym, etc.); yet it is no so pristine that the property feels prissy or restrictive. [Yes, there are some weeds in the gardens that add to its charm...]
We were together for a family reunion this year that grew to as many as 11. Everyone fit ideally well without feeling crowded and we were an "ad hoc" assortment of ages and personalities. The accommodations suited the full array of us - from young to 'old'.
This year we added an outdoor evening concert at nearby West Point one Sunday that left everyone perfectly thrilled with its fireworks extravaganza afterwards. (Postponed from July 4th).
The wonderful amply-stocked farmhouse kitchen was especially inviting for everyone to pitch in to prepare some memorably glorious meals. After dinner, it was a delight to retreat to the outdoor stone fireplace (pool-side) on the cooler evenings; where we added the "thrill" of making camp-like old-fashioned Smores. It was terrifically glorious to spend several splendid evenings fireside with great conversation, laughs, and such a serene setting. This only added to our already memorable stay.
We are sure to return again to this special property...
