In Winter… Vermont is known around the world as a winter wonderland.
Within just a short drive of Chester, visitors can ski four of the top-rated ski areas in the world: Okemo – 12 miles, Bromley – 10 miles, Stratton – 15 miles, Killington/Pico – 38 miles. For those interested in Cross-Country skiing, there are more than a dozen highly rated trails within 10 miles, including Grafton Ponds and Lowell Lake. Of course, there are plenty of other winter activities that can be enjoyed in or around Chester including: ice-skating, ice-fishing, sledding, horse drawn sleigh rides, hunting on approved dates, snow-shoeing and snowmobiling.
In Summer… those who visit when the weather grows warmer know that Vermont is equally as special in the summer.
