GERMANTOWN, TN CONDO

ONLY THE DOWNTOWN CONDO IS A TWO BEDROOM TWO BATH!

I booked the Germantown Condo for a three week stay this past June assuming that it was a 2 bedroom, 2 bath. When we arrived we found that the apartment had only one full bath and one half bathroom. For two grown men, it was disapointing to find that we had to share a bathroom. When we informed the booking agent, she said that she had never been to the apartment and had no idea the information on this site was incorrect. We were offered the downtown apartment, but because of past reviews on that property, we decided to say in Georgetown.

The apartment itself is exactly how the pictures look. It's immaculately decorated and quite comfortable. The matresses could use replacement, so if you like a firm matress, then you are out of luck at this property.

The condo is lived in. There are clothes in the closets and some drawers from the owner of the unit. The cabinets were stocked with past tenant food, some of which we threw away because of bugs.

The next door neighbor tends to use the hose from the back porch and tries to make her business to know your business. Still, she's very sweet and harmless. She also rescues cats late in the evening and keeps them on her porch before taking them to the vet. The cats cry out all night, so if you're a light sleeper, take the back bedroom.

Kathy, the housekeeper is fantastic and lives across the parking lot in another unit. She's really sweet and will help you with directions and anything else you need. She'll also deal with the neighbor if the cats are a problem and will ask the person who uses the second parking space at the unit to move their car if you have two vehicles.

The air conditioning downstairs is fantastic. It's not so great upstairs where the bedrooms are. Luckily both rooms have ceiling fans which helped at night.

It was great to walk 20 feet to the pool.

We were never given a contract and I had to write the booking agent to remind her to return my security deposit almost two weeks after we left.

3 of us rented this condo for six nights and I can say that it was a wonderful experience. All the amenities of home were available to us in this condo. It is close to Beale Street (where most of our time was spent) and to a few of the downtown attractions. The trolley line is right outside the door of the condo which was handy. I highly recommend this rental if you are looking for a comfortable stay in Memphis. I will definitely be choosing this form of lodging in the future for my return trip to Memphis.
