Wears Valley Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

Our Appalachian log cabin was built recently by our family as a vacation home. Located in an upscale mountain community in Wears Valley, it was designed to replicate the simple mountain experience found at the turn of the century. The home is constructed of logs with a metal roof for enjoying those rainy days. At 1800 square feet, it has a beautiful great room with a stone wood-burning fireplace, an eat-in kitchen with built-ins, cookware and all utensils, two large bedrooms, two full baths (master has a garden tub), and an upstairs loft area for relaxing and kicking back. The master bedroom has double doors leading to the private screen deck with a gas grill and an inviting 6-person hot tub - great for relaxing. The home also has a full basement with garage parking to keep your car or motorcycle protected from the weather. Roads to our home are wide and maintained and our driveway is asphalt making it easy to navigate. We are located on a cul de sac (with only one other cabin) providing additional parking for extra cars or motorcycle trailers.

Come stay with us and enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountains!

Guestbook comments from the owner

I researched many properties before finally settling on this cabin and was extremely pleased that the description accurately matched what we experienced.

This cabin is beautifully decorated, well-maintained and had everything we needed for a home away from home.

We did experience an issue with the hot tub (turned out it was our inexperience with hot tubs and really not an issue at all) and the upstairs TV, but we were able to easily contact the owners and they resolved the issues quickly.

My family and I have visited the Smokies many times before and love the area. We did what we usually do when visiting, which is shopping and touring Gatlinburg, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Cherokee, NC.

We happened to stumble upon The Mountain Farm Museum, which is an open-air exhibit of historic farm buildings at the Oconaluftee Visitor Center near Cherokee. This pioneer farmstead was a real treat to explore and we would highly recommend it to anyone who visits the area.

We love to hike and there are some beautiful trails in the the area, but the weather was just too hot. So, when we weren't out searching for air conditioned sites to explore, we stayed at the cabin and relished the quiet and peaceful surroundings. I especially enjoyed watching the squirrels each morning as they scurried up and down the bird feeder and across the railings on the deck.

This cabin was perfect and we would recommend it to any of our friends. We look forward to returning and hope that the weather will be nice enough for us to hike and explore more of the area around the cabin.

Early Fall Getaway

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I enjoyed staying at your cabin so much! We loved the way it was decorated and enjoyed the peace & quiet of the mountains. The acorns were just starting to fall but we didn't see any bear but heard that a bear family had been seen the day before our arrival in the yard next door. We enjoyed using the grill and relaxing out on the screened porch. We hope to stay there again on future trips. Thanks for sharing your beautiful cabin!

Anniversary Getaway!

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I were looking for a weekend getaway to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. As he travels extensively, we were looking for something close to home since we only had the weekend. After searching tons of websites, I kept coming back to this cabin and I'm sure glad we did! The cabin is beautiful and very comfy! The timber frame is lovely, and the decorations and rustic furniture are perfect. It had everything we needed and then some. Although we really just needed a bottle opener and wine glasses, the kitchen has a multitude of accessories and small appliances, and the refrigerator and microwave were spotless. The entire cabin was very clean and well maintained. The bathrooms were both nicely stocked with shampoo/conditioner/soaps/towels, etc. There is a full size washer and dryer, complete with detergent and dryer sheets. The upstairs had a lot of games/puzzles/DVDs to keep kids entertained. We actually had our 6 year old with us for our last night there and she thought it was super cool to have the loft TV area and bedroom as "her own".

We loved the screened in porch and really enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings. You feel like you are sitting in a tree house because you are surrounded by trees everywhere you look. It rained on and off all weekend, and the sound of the rain on the metal roof was so relaxing, and made for easy sleep.

The location off Wears Valley Road is convenient to both Pigeon Forge and Townsend. We did the Cades Cove loop on Sunday and its a very easy drive to get there. There are a lot of hills and curves to get to the cabin, but the roads are paved and wide. In the winter you would probably want 4 wheel drive. The cabin is on a short lane with only one other cabin. They are right next door to each other, but they are situated such that they really don't interfere with one another. We had picked this cabin because it looked secluded and private, and it was. We didn't want a cabin rental resort with one cabin after another as I have stayed in those before.

Overall we had a great weekend and plan to stay here again!

Owner's Response: Annette, thank you so much for the review of our cabin. Potential guests rely on these to make their travel plans and your review was very complete. Thanks for taking the time to do this.

When there is snow and ice in the mountains roads can be an issue and you would want chains and 4 wheel drive under those conditions. Our roads are plowed and sanded when conditions are bad (we have several full time residents including a doctor who has to be able to leave and make rounds) but they can be dangerous in the winter and we encourage folks NOT to drive under those conditions and to be safe. We would rather have our guests safe than to make a few dollars. For this reason, unlike most every other owner or rental company in the area, we offer a refund for cancellations or early departures or the opportunity to reschedule (at the option of the guest) if they feel the roads are a safety issue. Also, I always let the guests know of pending weather issues and am very proactive in helping them make the right decision to cancel or leave early in order to protect them and their families.

GREAT CABIN!

  • 5 of 5
I have stayed in many cabins in this area and must say this was the best one yet! The description given was very accurate. The cabin was clean and stocked with everything you need except the food. It was very evident the owners took pride in maintaining their home. I will definitely make plans to stay there again and would not hesitate to recommend this cabin to anyone who wants a few days away with peace and quiet.

Peaceful beautiful cabin. Quiet and Secluded.

  • 5 of 5
We had such a wonderful time at this beautiful cabin. The furnishings were terrific; the beds comfortable, the kitchen stocked with an awesome supply of pots and pans, even a crock pot and waffle maker! We enjoyed using the crock pot and coming "home" to dinner already made after spending the day out and about. We loved the National Park and Cades Cove loop especially.

Cabin get away for family.

  • 5 of 5
We loved the cabin and the time there. We would like to go again. It was an adventure to get there but once there we could just stay there the whole time and relax. The price was reasonable and the cabin was beyond words. It was interesting reading what others did and it was helpful when we went out for the day and ate at a restaurant that was suggested and wasn't let down. We tried to do some of the 101 things to do and did about 10. The Parsons Branch Road adventure was a tad scary and long but we won't forget it. The owners are real down home people and really take care of their property. Thanks to all involved to let us have a wonderful time there with our family. To kick back and relax is what we needed and got. Anyone that don't like this place well just nee to stay home.

Owner's Response: Mike, thanks for the review.

We are glad you and your family enjoyed our mountain home. One of the things we wanted in a vacation home was the opportunity to get away from the crowds and congestion and enjoy the sounds of nature without hearing cars and traffic noise in the background. I think you will agree that our home provides a peaceful get away.

Thanks again for sharing our home and taking such good care of it. You still have 90 things to do!
