Why you should choose this home...: We call this a home, because it’s a place we spend a lot of time making memories with family and friends. So, although we rent on a limited basis, it is indeed our home. The benefit to you, our potential guest, is that you will be staying in a well cared for house that truly feels like a home... not a rental.
We only rent to families and their extended families, to executives looking to impress clients, or to small groups of 3 or 4 couples looking for a nice getaway. We DO NOT rent to large groups of twenty-somethings looking to have a giant party. If that’s what you’re looking for, move on, as this upscale property is not for you. If you're looking for a very clean, executive escape with amazing lake frontage, 3 miles from skiing, beautiful furnishing, and hi-end amenities, then this is the place for you. Location, Location, Location!: Our home is conveniently located in the Pocono Mountains just minutes from major attractions, including Big Boulder/Jack Frost Ski Resorts (3 mi), Mount Airy Casino (30 min), Camelback Water Park (20 min), Pocono Raceway (3 mi), Penn’s Peak (15 min),The Crossings Outlets (20 min), Jim Thorpe (20 min), whitewater rafting (3 mi), paintball (3 mi), state game lands (5 min), and much more. But perhaps the property’s most distinguishing feature is the 135 feet of beautiful lake frontage on crystal clear, spring-fed, 195 acre Lake Towamensing. A true Lakefront Property...: Lake Towamensing is among the cleanest, safest and most tranquil in the Pocono Mountains for several reasons. It's spring-fed. It only allows trolling motors, so there is no gas/oil contamination from power boats. No powerboats also translates to no noise or risk of getting run over.
Our rates are very competitive with the rest of the market. When comparing our rates with other’s, please keep in mind that this is an upscale waterfront rental on a large 195 acre lake (not a pond referred to as a lake). Beware of listings with the word 'lakeside' showing photos of the lake not taken from their actual property. Our house sits a directly across from wetlands on the 'arm' of the main lake, so it's extremely private. We have yet to come across such a hi-end rental in this area. The photos tell the story. Thank you for considering a stay at our home.
We initially purchase it as a vacation home, and had no plans to rent it out. However, it bothered me to no end that it sat vacant, during the times we were unable to use it. It was also a tremendous drain on our budget. Lakefront homes are not cheap in Towamensing Trails! So, after 2 years of constantly badgering my wife to allow me to rent it, she reluctantly agreed in 2008. :-) A funny thing quickly happened—she began to really enjoy hearing how much our guests enjoyed everything our property has to offer. Furthermore, she enjoyed that others were helping to foot the bills. We keep our rates as low as we can, and we do not make a profit.
To this day, we thoroughly enjoy reading about all the positive experiences our guests have had. We love that others can make the precious memories that we continue to make up at the lake.

To be quite honest, we don't know of a comparable property in the area. Most people that buy waterfront homes do no rent them out. And if they do, they typically have poor decor, cheep furniture, and do not maintain them very well. We pride ourselves on providing accommodations that make our guests feel at home, but also include touches that make you feel like you're on vacation in the mountains. Don't just take our word for it—read our reviews on both this page, and our personal website (URL listed at the bottom of this page). The fact that we are fully booked for the summer season by the end of January tells us that we are offering a unique experience for a more than fair rate.
What makes this house unique
The main feature that sets our property apart is the 125 feet of lake frontage on peaceful, super-clean Lake Towamensing. Other notables are the decor, the open floor plan, the themed bedrooms, the massive deck with seating, the massive swimming/fishing dock, the boats/kayaks we provide, the included firewood for indoor fires, the close proximity to countless attractions such as skiing, water parks (both indoor and outdoor), hunting, white water rafting, skirmish, shopping, dining, mountain biking, etc. They're all within a 20 minute drive at most!
