|Minimum Stay||2 - 4 nights|
The Lazy Dog Cabin is perfectly located to take advantage of all the area has to offer, just 10 minutes from Mt. Snow, and 30 minutes from Stratton, Bromley and Magic Mountain.
If skiing isn’t your thing, you’ll find plenty of other ways to entertain yourself -- and just as many ways to relax and do nothing. The cabin sits on two wooded acres on a quiet country road, ideal for communing with nature and catching a spectacular star show in the night sky. From the secluded setting it’s a short drive to several adorable towns with great shopping and dining, and magnificent state parks.
Our cabin is cozy but by no means cramped, and is as comfortable for 10 people as it is for 2. There are three bedrooms, plus a den. There are 2 full baths (including master with jetted tub), and an additional half bath. Unwind in front of the inviting fire in the living room, or splash around at the heated pool in the nearby clubhouse. And, true to our name, we're dog friendly.
We had an amazing time at your house. It's so cozy and fit our big family! We enjoyed the DVDs and watched 5 in one day. Thanks for the wifi! Master bedroom was awesome and all the beds were so comfy. It was a great relaxing atmosphere for hanging out stuffing our faces and exploring.
This was everyone's first time being in a cabin. It was absolutely worth it!! The wifi was not great, but it was perfect because we was trying to get away from it all. This place is comfy and well furnished. It felt like a second home.
We had a lovely weekend sitting around the fire playing board games, shooting pool, and enjoying the snowy environs. On our way, we grabbed some amazing aged cheddar and went through the nearby downtown of Wilmington. A fun, relaxing weekend with friends.
As soon as we pulled in the drive way and saw the generous supply of stack wood we had a really good feeling and when we entered the cabin were surprised to see how much space there was. The front part of the cabin is all log and exposed beam -- it feels like you are below decks on a large sailing ship of the 1800s. Perfect for a romantic weekend/getaway. Having the master on the ground floor with a generous bathroom (whirlpool tub) was also nice and convenient. In short, we loved our stay in VT at the cabin and will look forward to coming back in the future.
Amazing place to stay, and VERY dog friendly. After completing my first year of a doctorate program, I decided I deserved a little vacation without breaking the bank. My boyfriend and I wanted to go away, but to bring out fur babies with us. We found this little cabin, and Angie was SO NICE- we booked it right away. We arrived Monday morning, and departed Friday morning. It was a great stay- loved the outdoors, the spacious house/outside for the dogs to run around, and the peace and quiet. Although there was wifi, for my cell number (not my boyfriend's though) there was very limited service, but that was perfect for what I needed. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need, as is the rest of the house. It was the perfect location from numerous National Forests, and dog-friendly spots, yet out of the way of the hustle and bustle of a busy tourist area. We are planning on coming back, hopefully in the winter to see the beautiful snow. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this cabin. The price is great and the renter is so friendly!!! I cannot give it enough stars.
We arrived late Thursday night after booking very last minute. Little did my girl friend know that I was carrying her off to VT to propose to her on a dog sledding adventure with the Braeburn Siberian Husky outfitter. I was going to wait another month but once I had the ring I was dying to get engaged. Angela, the owner, could not have been more accommodating and was always there to answer my questions as I scrambled to make it all come together for a magical weekend. Having a cozy place to kick our feet up and enjoy some wine and puzzles by the fire after long days of hiking and adventuring was so very important to us and our doggies. The Lazy Dog Cabin could not have proved to be a better spot to serve this purpose. While off the beaten path, we were still close to Dover, Wilmington, Manchester and multiple state parks and of course the Green Mountain National Forest so we had so many options for hiking and good food! The cabin was well stocked with wood, the essentials and everything we needed to have the most memorable weekend possible. It was clean and nicely organized, linens provided and even a nice big welcome binder with everything we needed to know. We even had the clubhouse pool to ourselves at night which was really nice. Much thanks to Angela for being such an important piece to the puzzle for our magical VT engagement weekend!!! Oh and by the way she said YES! We plan to return in the summer with our pups for some more outdoor fun and exploring.
