Ski to Sea is a beautiful home at an elevation of 4,500 feet on Appalachian Ski Mountain in Blowing Rock. The main level consists of a large living room with cable TV, VCR and DVD Player, gas log stone fireplace, plenty of seating, a dining area with large windows to view mountains, a fully-equipped kitchen, a master suite with king bed and full bathroom, another master suite with queen bed, sitting area, cable, and doors leading out onto the large wrap-around deck where the beautiful covered hot tub sits with views of surrounding mountains and ski slopes below. There is a large bedroom with a king bed, cable, baby crib, and windows to view the mountains, a bedroom with 2 double beds, and a full bathroom between them all upstairs. The yard is large and relatively flat with a playground for the kids and benches to sit and gaze at the views. Conveniently located between Boone and Blowing Rock, Ski to Sea is close to High Country attractions and makes a perfect mountain vacation home.

My family and I really enjoyed our visit to the Blowing Rock area and the home added to that. The location is close to Blowing Rock and Boone...close enough to enjoy all the towns activities, yet far enough away to get spectacular mountain views. It was also very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The house was well stocked with kitchen items and linens...it was nice to have the washer and dryer. We used the cable, DVD player & wireless internet. A nice extra was the covered hot tub, which we used almost nightly...we even got in when it was raining one night! The beds and furniture were comfy. Overall it was a very nice place to stay.

Great views!

This is a wonderful home with great views of the mountains from the deck which is equipped with several rocking chairs and a hot tub. The house was very clean with an incredibly well stocked kitchen. We cooked quite a bit and were able to find all the necessary kitchen utensils.

The owner was a pleasure to work with and even called to ensure that everything was OK upon arrival.

As someone living in Texas, I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone wanting to get away from it all and enjoy the cool mountain breezes.

Outstanding home, outstanding value

We have been enjoying our annual week long stay in this property for ten years. "Never change a winning game." This is a very comfortable home. The amenities (hot tub, fireplace etc.) are a treat. It is close to the slopes and downtown Blowing Rock. The lot is beautiful, with lovely sunrise views. The owners are most accommodating. Their care shows in every detail. As always, we hated to leave, but we will be back.

most relaxing place for the winter

This was a wonderful place for one big family or more than one family. I didn't want to leave the property. It was clean and cozy. The owners did exactly what they said they would do and called us many times before our leave to make sure we didn't need anything else.
The property overlooked the Appalachian Ski slopes and it was like being on the slope from the living room. The hot tub was very clean and made the end of each night just was everyone needed. We will be back. We have asked for two more dates and cannot wait to get back. The owners were so loving and helpful and the house showed their love.
Thanks for such a relaxing long weekend and what a way to bring in the New Year! I hope for many more.
