This beautiful home was renovated in 2008 by Deb Gianetti and friends. We couldn't keep this beautiful rental home running without the help of our property manager Carol and cleaning crew Trish and friends. Sit back and relax on the wood deck and enjoy the warm daily breezes and the fantastic view. There is a splendid view of the majestic Laguna Madre (The Mother Lagune). There is wonderful bird watching right in the back yard also! Warblers come out in the fall! Wind Swept Oaks are the trees of choice for these tropical and unique birds. The front yard is sunny most of the time. There is a small boat launch at the end of the street into the laguna for smaller boats, canoes and kayaks. Located in Flour Bluff near the Gulf of Mexico, aquariums, botanical gardens, bird sanctuaries, beaches, kite boarding, golfing, Naval Air Station, USS Lexington, shopping and restaurants. PLEASE no smoking in the house.
It was a wonderful experience. We had told ourselves that, even if it wasn't that great a house, all we basically needed was a place to sleep. Well, we loved this place! It was clean, comfortable and close to all kinds of places such as grocery store, places to eat, etc.
We brought our towels thinking that maybe they wouldn't have any, or any good ones, but they had plenty of towels and they we're clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots and pans and dinnerware.
And we spent a lot of time actually staying and enjoying the place!
Speaking with Debbie, the owner, and Carol was easy and enjoyable and they were very accommodating.
I would highly recommend this place and look forward to renting it again in the future.
For the convenient location (close beaches and HEB Plus store), affordable pricing, and flexibility by Debbie and Carol to meet our basic needs, this small home was well worth making a reservation. My family had a wonderful time with our recent visit, and we will definitely look into doing it again. The listed pictures are exactly how the home looks like, inside and out. The best feature for us was the backyard deck that is mostly secluded and allowed us to enjoy ourselves. FYI, there is no washer/dryer but we did find a laundry mat nearby (Bay Laundry?). My Gramma also had slight trouble exiting the back door because of the steep steps with sand, but this could be corrected in the future with a rail installation. One thing we also learned firsthand was to NOT to lower the house thermostat below 70-72 because of the humidity, which will cause the system to freeze and stop working temporarily (in our case, one night). Withstanding these exceptions, this is an excellent find for "home away."
Three kids and two pArents and a dog. We had room. Comfortable beds. Enjoyed deck and grill. Little things help make comfortable like cooking utensils, clocks ,ice trays lots of towels ,DVD player.
We brought DVD. Planned for no internet. Very windy so no Mosquitos TV trays and extra table very useful. Things we might have no brought were available like pillows and shaving cream. We went to beach and had a place to hang towels though so windy it kept falling. Clothes pins would be useful. Lots of hooks to hang items so stuff not all over floor. We used beach Chairs for extra seating
The stay was enjoyable and the representatives were truly professional and courteous beyond reason. Thank you, other rental properties could learn from you.
We had a great time in Corpus. The house we stayed in on Knickerbocker was exactly what we needed, roomy, clean and very convenient to beaches and downtown. My grandsons begged to please stay just one more night!!! Would stay again for sure!!
We booked the house for spring break. It was great. It was clean. Close to everything. There was a total of 5 of us and we never felt cramped or on top of each other. You are one block from super HEB, about 5 blocks from Wal-Mart. Close to fishing and other attractions. We hope to stay again this summer. This house has everything you will need. Just bring your clothes and food and have fun.
