The house is comfortable. The price for the house was well below comporable homes during the same time frame. The linens were clean and the house was clean. The tv is tricky but works. The owner was a great communicator. When we called him he called right back. He seems attentive. I think that the house sleeps the number of people advertised adequately, however the rest of the house is extremely cozy for 12 to 13 people.
A few things that are advertised just are not correct
1. We had to buy our own toilet paper (not a big deal)
2. There are zero spices in the house other than a grinder that has both salt and pepper combined. Not everone likes both together
3. There is no internet of any kind at the house and we didnt find out until after we had paid for the house which was weeks later. The owner said we could go to town to use the internet cafe, but that was certainly extremely inconvienent during the Holidays with huge crowds of people in town and the roadways clogged and jammed.
4. There is only room for 6 people to eat comfortably and easily at the dining room table. There is a built in bench that 2 kids could squeese on eather side of an adult and maybe eat on a tiny corner of the dining room table. We had 12 people and had problems eating, and there was not enough seating in the living room except for when no one was eating in the dining room and we drug the dining room chairs into the living room.
5. that 4th bedroom is not what I would call a 4th bedroom. There is no privacy in that room.
A few things about the house that should be noted.
1. The upper bedrooms are pretty warm when the lower part of the house is at 70 degrees.
2. The entrance to the house is very slippery in snowy, or very cold weather.
3. The snow melts into the mud room and it is constantly wet.
4. The parking situation is a tandem parking spot and a single spot. If there has been snow there is a $50 a spot charge for snow removal
5. The toaster only makes extremely dark/dark slightly black toast. iT IS BROKEN
6. The lower shower and bathroom are quite tiny
7. If it is snowing there is no access to the deck
8. The view of the lake is pretty skimpy
9. The washer and dryer are in poor working condition and tempermental
10. Bring your own trash bags and paper towels and toilet paper
11. Dish washer wont clean a large load very well
The house is nicely decorated. The fireplace is cozy and cute.
