Family-friendly 3BR close to everything!

Relax at the end of your day in a townhouse that a former Supreme Court Chief Justice once called home. Three comfy bedrooms give everyone lots of room. A cook’s kitchen and separate dining room, plus a patio, make this a real home away from home!

You won’t find other digs so right-in-the-middle-of-it-all: Stroll to a Metro hub, the National Mall, or the new Nationals baseball stadium.

Just one block south is Washington's marina. From there, it's a short walk east along the Potomac River to the Jefferson Memorial and Tidal Basin paddleboats, the Holocaust Museum, the FDR Memorial, the Bureau of Printing and Engraving, and the Washington Monument.

Heading north, it's just 6 blocks to the Smithsonian Air & Space and other museums along the National Mall.

To the southwest are Nationals Park, and the National Defense University. Also, Fort Leslie McNair's grassy expanses, where military bands regularly perform on summer evenings.

Just across the Potomac River are Haines Point's golf course and park.

To get around hassle-free, hop on the subway at L'Enfant Plaza - four blocks away. Or catch city bus #74, which runs between Nationals Park and the Convention Center, passing the Mall, Verizon Center and the restaurants at Gallery Place.

One off-street parking space is included. Extra parking space may be available.

Owners are long-time DC residents and neighbors, and are happy to answer questions and share tips for visitors.

3 women rented this location for a girls getaway. The property met all of our needs. The house is totally equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. The home is clean, the linens are perfect and the beds are totally great. This house is in a wonderful location, close to groceries, transportation and major sites. Deborah was very helpful, answering all of our questions. We would definitely recommend this property to others.

Perfect place for my family!

We had two days to "do Washington" and we stayed at this property. It was clean and decorated very homey and comfortable. It was perfect for my Husband, mom-n-law, and four children (ages 5-12). It was very close to the action and we ended up taking cabs to where we wanted to go. It was a $10 cab ride including tip and was well worth it for us - although we needed 2 cabs. The property owner was available when needed and made it very easy to communicate with. We loved the house and would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in staying there!

Perfect Accomodation

I was in DC for a conference with two of my employees and stayed at the house for three nights. We arrived early but had no problem leaving our bags and going off to do some sight seeing before we checked in at 3. The house was clean and amazingly well-organized and appointed. Plenty of towels etc., as well as unexpected benefits such as a SmarTrip cards for the Metro and Safeway loyalty cards. The house is close to everything, including the Metro stop and grocery store. The Mall is close and I was able to do a nice early morning jog around it one morning. The neighborhood is good, and not so far out that you can't get a taxi. There are a couple good restaurants close by as well. All in all it was pretty much a perfect situation. We will definitely try to book it again when we return in the future.

Great place for our family Christmas vacation!

Our group of 6 found this home very spacious and cozy at the same time. Very clean. Close enough to walk to most of the DC sites. The owner was very communicative and the Christmas decorations she had put around the house were a nice touch. Highly recommend and will definitely consider staying here again......maybe in warmer weather when the cherry blossoms are in bloom.
