House, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

Sea Ranch is One of California’s Golden 15 places “once hippie, now hip” (Denver Post 1/13/2008)

September Haus, warm and inviting with Danish décor, is a “turn-key” home. Rent includes: Bed linens, towels for bath and Jacuzzi Spa plus firewood and kindling. It has been fully remodeled and upgraded (completed 3/08). Aside from food and beverages, all is provided, even sheets, one set of towels for each guest, and firewood. This home is for adults only and sorry, we do not allow smoking or pets. Checks or major credit cards via PayPal accepted.

·Living room – five picture windows afford an awesome view of the Pacific Ocean and coastline – tiled fireplace – phone, Basic Wireless Internet, Direct TV, VCR, DVD, CD, XM radio

·Upstairs bathroom – shower – stacked washer/dryer

·Loft – library – small computer table- trundle beds

·Designer kitchen – Dacor range and microwave, Subzero refrigerator, Bosch dishwasher – Calphalon cookware – blender, coffeemaker, toaster oven (small BBQ outside)

September Haus sits on the hillside overlooking the stunning rugged coast and Pacific Ocean. Locals think we have the best weather here with our unique hillside micro-climate away from bluff-born winds and above the fog in the meadows. We have seen wildlife: deer, wild turkeys, foxes, rabbits, marveled at the hawks soaring overhead and the whales spouting during their migrating season. September Haus invites you to relax, meditate and reflect. Some guests come to write; others are inspired to paint the White Barn, a Sea Ranch landmark. Yet if you wish to be active, you may enjoy the many hiking trails to the bluff or into the forest starting from September Haus. Or you may walk on the beaches and explore the tide pools. Check out the many other activities listed below.

Activities (on site or nearby): Hike, bike, ride a horse, play tennis or golf the resort links; take a sauna and swim in one of the three heated pools (the Ohlson Rec center - is just a five minute walk from September Haus). Play basketball, volleyball; enjoy group yoga, go horseback riding, fishing, shelling, or wine tasting. There is a golf course and a landing strip. In Gualala, seven miles to the north, you will find grocery stores and many boutiques.

Best Sea Ranch Experience So Far

Out of all the Sea Ranch homes I've rented for vacation, this was my favorite. Although it's a longer walk to the beach from this hillside home, it's more than made up for by the amazing panoramic views of the meadows and beaches below.

Other big pluses:
- The kitchen is very well-stocked with all the cookware you might need (this is important because, if you haven't been to Sea Ranch before, you will be doing a lot of your own cooking).
- The master bathroom is like being in a resort spa.
- The deck off of the second bedroom provides a sweeping view of the ocean and is a great place for coffee.
- The house is very close to a trailhead that leads into a very beautiful redwood forest.

No downsides to report, aside from eventually having to leave!

We had a lovely time at the September Haus. The view is GREAT! Loved it. And it was very quiet. The deer walk right by the window, great sunrises and sunsets. The place is nicely updated and has everything you need for a getaway. It is very dark at night so I would suggest bringing a flashlight. We arrived after dark and was glad we had one with us. The place also has Wi-Fi. The owner was quick to answer any questions we had. We would stay there again.

What a perfect stay. The views were beautiful. The location is perfect for hiking in the woods, swimming at one of the rec centers and just a few minutes away from walking the bluff trails. The house is cozy and well decorated and the kitchen well supplied. Most of the cooking utensils I brought I didn't even need to unpack. We will definitely be returning soon.

Everything about renting his house was positive from description (in detail) of the location, house amenities, activities in the area. It was perfect for 2 adult couples with tastefully decorated rooms, updated bathrooms, and complete updated kitchen. Most of all, we liked the access to the golf course, pools, hiking trails and short drive to Gualala for groceries, restaurants, shops. Pefect place for very relaxed, laid back community, which is what we were looking for! Would not hesitate to recommend this house to anyone.

Beautiful home perched high on a hill with panoramic white and blue water view! Newly remodeled, very nice clean, and comfortable.. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the Sea Ranch property, surrounding area, and hiking. The seals were on Tidepool beach...quite a treat to see them come ashore..
