Romantic large double bedroom with en suite bathroom with shower. Own entrance with use of secluded swimming pool. The Bedroom with its exposed beams and high ceiling; comfortable furnishings in shades of amber complement the tones of the antique terracotta-tiled floor and polished wood of occasional tables and dressers Adjoining French windows open out to large veranda. The large garden area is mainly enclosed, and surrounded by woodland and maize fields, and you are close to the pretty spa towns of Dax, Salies de Béarn and medieval Orthez. You also have the benefit of being only 50 minutes from the coast at Biarritz with long stretches of sandy beach to the north and south and less than an hour to the Pyrenees. Various sporting activities can be found locally including tennis, riding, white water rafting and Surfing, and the area is famed for its restaurants of all types. This pretty 1843 Landaise farmhouse has been carefully renovated.

We had a very restful and comfortable week at Tolou. Our hosts are a delightful family, welcoming and helpful with idea of things to do. The room is very attractive with a very comfortable bed.

Highly recommended for anyone wanting anything from a restful holiday by the pool to a good centre from which to explore.
