Our Maine Vacation

Our stay in Maine could not have been more perfect staying in this beautiful home on the water. It was all newly redone with a wonderful kitchen, bathrooms and furnishings. The master bedroom is breathtaking with its view of the water. It was emaculate! The location was quiet and peaceful. The town of Freeport was wonderful with great shopping, good restaurants and a great small local grocery store for supplies all within 10 min. It was very easy to drive up and down the coast from there. Our trip and staying in this home was one we will not forget.

Exceeded Expectations

It is not often that our lodging experiences exceed expectations. We had reserved this beautiful waterfront home site unseen. You never know what you are going to walk into, but when we arrived the WOW factor kicked in. Not only was the setting beautiful and very well maintained, but the home was fresh, clean, and very well furnished-right down to the linens and kitchenware. We named it our Peace Lodge. It was a wonderful experience and we hope to return. The owners take a lot of pride in providing a fabulous get-a-way for guests!

Perfect Maine Vacation

Our first trip to Maine was during the month of September. What a perfect time for a Maine vacation. Our stay in the house helped to make the trip perfect. The ocean front setting, the exquisite sunsets, the beautiful sun rises viewed from the master bedroom, the view of the ocean and nearby islands, the private beach, the well decorated and maitained home with many amenities, what more can I say. Oh, the lobster boats working in the bay and ocassional sail boats added to the great memories of our vacation. The shopping in Freeport was fantastic, along with great restaurants. We will return.

An awesome break from the "real world"!

We have stayed at this home 4 times and felt we really wanted others to know how wonderful it is. We have been there by ourselves and also with a group. The accommodations are GREAT! The view from the master bedroom in the morning is hard to beat. We find it hard to get away from the house before noon as we sit and watch the lobster boats and just get caught up in the view and do not want to leave. The location is a 10 minute car ride to Freeport which offers a wonderful spot for walking the "strip" of shops as well as our addiction for LLBean and very good clam chowder and lobster bisque. We take short road trips to favorite spots. If you have not experienced Maine...you really must. The setting of this home is just perfect and has everything you need whether you want to cook in or eat your meals out. Very good carry out and meat/deli market a short distance from the house. The whole experience is relaxing, renewing and a memory maker.

Coastal Maine at its Best!

Our stay in this house was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The setting of the house is perfect - it is right on the water with a full view of the ocean and islands. There is a private sandy beach where the water is delightfully warm for swimming. The house itself is set up with full open views of the water and easy living spaces. It is beautifully decorated with many amenities and added touches. It is in perfect condition, clean and well maintained. The local neighborhood is attractive and quiet. One sees a few local sailboats and kayaks going by on the water, but overall the setting feels private and serene. The nearby islands provide an inviting destination for any short boat trip. Shopping and restaurants in Freeport are within an easy ten-minute drive. We couldn't have asked for more! We would love to go back.
