Business owner for more than 20 years. Have lived in Nevada for over 20 years.
The Owner purchased this house in 1995
This was my primary residence until son transferred to school.
The serene environment and all the amenities.
Stayed at this house for 10 days. Had another couple with us so the space of the home was nice. It was conveniently located, off a main road but a very quiet area other than the airport. The back yard was a little congested but the pool and the BBQ area were nice. Had a few problems with the pool but the owner and handy man were right on it.
Stayed here for a week with two adults, two seniors and a two year old. My 78 year old father said this was the best vacation he had ever had in his life, and the rest of us agreed. We own two timeshares and have rented houses all over the US. I travel for work, so we spend a significant amount of time staying in places other than our home. This one was the best. My son spent hours at a time in the pool. The location was very convenient, a few minutes from the airport and downtown. We did day trips to the Hoover Dam, Death Valley, Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. I am a runner, and this home is less than 1/2 mile to the nicest city park I have ever seen in my life, miles of running trails, several playgrounds, a splash pad and a very large lake. I cannot say enough good things about this home and the location. We arrived very late at night, around 10 PM, and had no issues checking in or out. Tracy and her co-worker were very responsive. Would definitely recommend this property, we will for sure be back!!
We stayed here 4 nites for a small family get together. The girls ( 8 & 11 ) lived in the pool! We ate outside every night since it was not super hot. The large dining room table inside might have been a little too formal for us with children. Our 2 tiny dogs enjoyed the yard, and doggie door.
My only recommendation for another guest would be to ensure that there are adequate cleaning supplies on hand. We had to go out and purchase dishwasher soap and dish soap for the sink. Also, there was no hair dryer so we picked one up at the store.
For walkers, there is a terrific tree lined street on the other side of the horse farm on Pecos. I was surprised that I could get walks in during August, the street was in shade all morning!
The house was great but our over all experience was poor, including the fact that we didn't get a penny of our deposit back.
We drove from Northern CA. We didn't get an initial walk through but found a letter from the previous renters telling of problems they had during their stay (BBQ didn't work, power outages and a sewer smell from the master bathroom). No walk through for them? We didn't have use of the bbq for 3 days and lost use of the pool for a day when the tree trimmer came; pool guy came to clean the tree clippings from the pool the next day.
We cleaned the kitchen, put away dishes in the cabinets (no checklist was provided). We also cleaned and folded towels, and cleaned the rest of the house with the need for disinfecting as any rental owner would need to do for health reasons.
There was no walk through when we left and owner said we left the house in such bad condition that they had to stay up till 11pm to clean; accusing us of leaving stains on the carpet and stealing a casserole dish, platters and towels, and holes in the wall where the garage door doesn't have a door stop so it slams into the wall every time you enter (no keys are given so it is the one entrance). Yet our pictures of our stay show no damage: we even left several items behind: a 21.5 qt pot with lid, extra hand towels, oven mitts 2 drink pitchers, 1 spatula, and a large beach towel.
In addition, while the owner said they found all these problems that day and needed to turn around and rent it right away, we were never contacted (which an upset owner would do immediately and would have given us the opportunity to turn around and see the "damage").
We called the owner twice, a week after our stay and finally received a text message back of the accusations with no information as to what would happen withe the deposit. We contacted the owner 6 more times before finally getting to speak with the owner. While discussing the "damages" we asked why we didn't get a call immediately about the "condition". The question was never answered - the owner hung up on us (we called back but it went straight to voice mail). We received an invoice for carpet cleaning ($139), have never seen the "photos of the damages and stained carpet"- they charged for cleaning the closets and no stain removal.
There is no proof of these accusations and they profited from our deposit using it to pay for care they wanted to do to the house knowing we would be too far away to fight.
Well what can I say about this place? It has ruined Vegas hotels for me forever. I will never be able to go back to regular hotels rroms after this. The pool was fantastic. Everything well equiped, everthing you could possibly need for your stay. If you have never been to Vegas and want to experience the excitment of the strip this might not be for you. The strip is only about ten minutes away but once you settle into this house you will not want to leave. The location was great for going into Green Valley and hitting the district or for shopping. Also for walking, Sunset park was a very nice surprice. Very short walk to get to and a good way to get some exercise before laying around the pool all day. There is seriously not much to think about here. If you have the means enjoy it
This was a fabulous home and taken care off really nicely and ready for couples, children etc.The kitchen is fabulous and the outdoor space, pool and spa are great. The owner was very helpful and we will for sure return. The House is very clean and everything is ready for you.I only wish in their book of information they would let you know what local tv channels are and list the location of where grocery stores and coffee shops etc. It would save time.
