In Summer both sides rent together only! We have 2 duplexes this size and several that are a bit smaller! Please see all of our listings if Dream Big is no longer available. Beautiful 3-story home located across from beach with wonderful views of both the Gulf and Little Lagoon. We have 12 bedrooms spread across 7,000 sq feet. This house is designed to offer both opportunities for togetherness, and a bit of privacy! The house has 12 balconies, large bedrooms, 16 televisions, and more. Great for your reunion or retreat. 2 kitchens each have 2 dishwashers, a double oven, 2 sinks and an ice machine. Family rooms offer a place for the kids to watch their own movie or play games. 4 washers/dryers. Enjoy your own pool. Our pool area is the largest private pool you'll find in this area and offers lots of tables and chairs, lounges, room to grill and more. We are in West Beach just 2.5 miles west of Hwy 59 and its restaurants, shops and attractions.

We are located in West Beach, a narrow stretch of land bound by the Gulf to the south, and Little Lagoon to the north. You'll have great views of both. In addition to the normal joys of our sugar white beach, a block and a half to our west is the 'pass', where the Gulf feeds Little Lagoon. The pass offers great fishing and an area that is perfect for kids to hunt for hermit crabs or watch the heron and pelicans in action.

Local Attractions: We have a waterpark, zoo (featured in the Animal Planet series The Little Zoo That Could), several amusement parks, good golf courses, in-shore and off-shore fishing, and more. Nearby are two historic civil war forts, The National Naval Air Museum, Battleship Park (where you can tour a WWII battleship) several wildlife preserve areas and more. There is a major outlet mall about 10 miles north in Foley. The Wharf, a new development near us on the Intercoastal Waterway offers an array of restaurants, shops, a large Ferris wheel, movie theater, concert amphitheater and marina. They frequently have something going on including holiday celebrations, boat shows, etc and it is also just a nice place to walk around. Gulf Shores is very family friendly and laid-back.

Golf: Gulf Shores and the immediate area have a number of courses that are open to the public. We have 9 signature courses within a 20 minute radius. Kiva Dunes is acclaimed as one of the top courses in the state. The Gulf State Park offers one of the most reasonably priced courses and several have afternoon special rates. Less than 10 minutes away are Craft Farm's two Arnold Palmer courses.

Fishing/Boating: There are a number of local marinas where you can charter a boat, rent a boat, or take a sightseeing cruise. There is good fishing both in-shore and off-shore. For an extra close spot, we like Lagoon Pass just 1/2 block west of Dream Big. The lagoon has speckled trout, croakers, flounder and more.

Golf: We have 9 signature courses nearby as well as the Gulf State Park Course. You have a nice range of courses located 3-15 miles from West Beach so you can easily try them all!

Other Activities: rent a sea kayak, parasail, charter a fishing boat, take a dolphin cruise

The Dream Big duplex was the perfect house and location for Camp Smile-A-Mile to take 20 teens and 5 adult chaperones on our annual teen trip this past October. The house is absolutely beautiful, accommodating and perfect for large groups. The kids loved the private pool and each bedroom has a balcony! The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, cooking pans, plates and cups. It was clean and well kept for a rental house. We enjoyed our stay and we will be back!

Although the pictures listed here are not for the Lemondade Stand (they must be for Dream Big), the accomadations are awesome! My entire family which consisted of 23 rented the entire house and it was WONDERFUL! There was so much space - we could be together yet could each have our own space when we wanted it. The pool is absolutely heavenly! Our girls grew up at the pool - were on swim team and eventually became lifeguards and pool managers. So - our family LOVES the water and this pool had it all! The little kids had their own "kiddie pool" and there was room for all. The balcony's are great and the picnic area served us well. We would recommend this to anyone and will definitely be making a return trip back here. Thank you Susan for sharing your wonderful house with us!! P.S. My 81 year old mother weathered the steps very well - she felt very comfortable climbing up outside with the double railings. It worked out great even though an elevator would have helped. But she made it and loved every minute of it! THANKS AGAIN!!

Susan - all our family wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed staying at Dream Big. It was an absolutely beautiful home to vacation in. The pictures that are on-line do not do it justice. Everything was neat, clean, comfortable and modern. We all said several times during our stay that we had never stayed anywhere as nice before. We were a little hesitant about being across the road from the beach, but it turned out to be no problem at all. Everything was convenient. The pool area was beautiful, also. We all hope to make this an annual trip and we certainly want to come back to this home! Thanks for a great fall vacation! Jan Baughn

GREAT PLACE ! Beautiful and well located; everything is NICER than represented!We were a little hesitant about being " across the street" from the beach, but it turned out to be perfect and having a Private pool is a must! Susan was absolutely delightful to work with..really wanted us to enjoy our vacation.We are planning a return trip next summer!
