We were the first renters of this wonderful condo on the Intracostal waterway at Palm Coast, Florida. The condo is on the top floor of a four level building. We faced east so caught the early morning sunshine but missed the sunsets. The condo was adequately equipped, could have used a better TV and better kitchen material. The area is new, but has marvelous walking trails, two pools, a small but adequate fitness center with TVs. Palm Coast is a real gem, it lacks a large choice of restaurants, but we were able to find a few good ones near by in the European Village. There are the usual franchise outlets, for quick and easy meals.
The shopping is very good for a small town. There are a number of grocery stores and "quicky" marts. The Publix outlets are really first class in goods and services.
There are wonderful beaches within just a few minutes drive - Crescent Beach is to be highly recommended. Golf courses are numerous and in good shape, some are challenging, some are resort type and forgiving. Riverbend and Riviera are two recommended courses. In Palm Coast itself there are at least three courses to choose from, all very good.
The Tidelands complex is new, and still under development. The grounds are not finished, but you soon forget and forgive, given the ammenities that are available, pools, fitness center, walking trail, views of the ICW. You are close to both St. Augustine and Daytona Beach, and less than an hour to Jacksonville. Outlet shopping is available in St. Augustine, and a tour of the Old Town is highly recommended.
We are so impressed with this part of Florida, we are very seriously looking to invest in "our own piece of Paradise".
