Very Basic

I stayed in this condo for a week. First of all, when I arrived (at the prearranged time) the owner was nowhere to be found. It took an hour dealing with security to finally let me in. Ridiculous. The room is very basic. Nothing on the walls (e.g. prints etc.). The was only a 1/2 full roll of toilet paper in the washroom. No other basic supplies. Absolutely none, not even a bar of soap. Also, no phone in the room (is this legal in a hotel?). And the bed did not even have a top sheet. Simply a comforter, how unsanitary is that to sleep under without a top sheet? Location is not particularly close to the beach. Price was okay. Lanai was the best part of the room. Personally, I wouldn't recommend this particular condo.
Owner's Response: As an owner, new to the management of vacation rentals, I offer year-round discount rates to my clientele. Check-out times are usually quite flexible. My unit at the Royal Garden is always clean and neat with crisp, new linen, as well as an extra set in the closet. Towels are abundant and basic amenities (bar and hand soap, cleaning supplies, etc.) are supplied. I currently do not offer phone service (most people travel with a cell phone), but I will provide a room phone soon. Prior problems with electronic keys have been solved as each client is asked to check in with hotel security upon arrival. Security will dispense electronic keys to the room and is there to help. I am always available and live only 15 minutes away to help if a client is dissatisfied or has a problem. Mahalo nui loa.
