House, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-10)

This home is located on scenic Pebble Beach Drive. Go west on 9th St. to Pebble Beach Dr. then left, 1305 is on a city turn around two blocks North. Please park on cement driveway in front of the house out of the turn around.

Very rustic cabin like house. Upstairs is a bedroom nook see pictures, full bath, full kitchen, living room and ocean and mountain views. Downstairs laundry room, bathroom and large bedroom with a futon, queen, 2 full beds, and a roll away.

Car, bike, surf gear charter, and boat rentals all nearby.

Nearby are Point St. George with panoramic views of southern Oregon and Northern California coastlines. 360 degree ocean and mountain views out all windows upstairs - living room, bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen.

Two minute walk to tidepools and view of Battery Point lighthouse which you can walk to at low tide. Headquarters for Redwood Park Association on 1111 2nd st Crescent City. Jedediah Smith State Park and Smith River, five miles.

Thai House Restaurant has great Thai and Vietnamese food. Also Good Harvest Cafe caters to vegetarians with low-fat fresh whole foods.

There is a new indoor heated public pool for the kids and adults. also a 'KIDTOWN' playground across the street from the pool and an adjoining safe beach on the harbor. Skate board park on 5th and Ocean World on 101.

Beach-combing and tide pools will keep the kids busy for days. Lots of kids here surf or boogie board and you can rent the gear at the surf shop owned by the famous Greg Noll family.

You can rent rafts on the Smith River which is the only pristine, un-dammed river in California and it winds thru giant Redwood groves and State Parks.

There are spectacular short drives that give you high viewpoints that overlook the Klamath river estuary, Redwood National Park and the beautiful So. Oregon coastline, none of which is more than a half hour's drive.

We have endless miles of pristine beaches, 2 lighthouses (one you can walk to and tour and one that is 6 miles out on the reef that will soon be just a helicopter or boat ride away), 2 great museums and so much more than I can list here.

We keep this rustic house affordable so that it is rented most of the time. It's a nice house in a nice beachside neighborhood.

This home is located on the most desirable beach drive in Del Norte County.

This house is great for family retreats.

About The Owner

I am a retired elementary teacher from the polluted, hot, traffic congested central valley.

One of my first younger renters named the house the Lucky Beach House.

The Owner purchased this house in 2004
Why The Owner chose Crescent City

I always wanted to live by the ocean, since childhood. My family always came to the coast to fish,crab,hunt and pick wild berries. I love Sun, rain, redwoods,& ocean!

What makes this house unique

The air is so clean here, I no longer get ill. I hike the redwoods, the beach, watch for wildlife, search for shells, stones.

I do love it here!

We truly loved our stay at the lucky Beach House! We stayed in a different rental in crescent City last year and when I tried to re-book that same rental this year I found that it was no longer available. So I searched and found this one. im so glad I did!!! We had all the comforts of home and then some. Fully stocked with EVERYTHING!!! From bathrooms to kitchen. My kids love the downstairs room and toys. We had busy days going to the beach, the lighthouse and the redwoods, so it was nice to go back "home" after a long day. This house made us feel so relaxed. We could sit upstairs and look out the window all day!! I cant wait for our return trip next year!! Thank You Emma for all your hospitality, and for being so helpful!

Big Beach Blast!!!!

We arrived as a busy crazy family of 9 and were so happy to find a beautiful home to enjoy for three days, and our every need was met. Including a once in a lifetime opportunity to try "crabbing"! We loved our visit to "Trees of MYSTERY", the Ocean Aquarium, numerous beaches, and the town of Crescent City. We would highly recommend a meal at the Chart House restaurant. The Lucky Beach House itself is delightful! The views are unequaled and the location is ideal. We planned this as a one time trip, but now we are happily planning a return trip! We would give this vacation opportunity an absolute thumbs up! Best trip ever!!!!!!

This was our first time staying at the Lucky Beach House. Everything was perfect.... and "everything" included lots of extras that we did not expect. The owner was very kind and took extra care not to be intrusive to our visit. I cannot say enough positive things about our stay. The reader will just have to rent this lovely and inexpensive house for themselves to get the full and true impact of the experience.

What a great place to stay. Perfect for kids with all the games and toys available. So much room, too. And the price is unbeatable. Thank you for providing such a great house in such a great location for a very low rate.

We enjoyed walking to the beach, seeing the sea lions in the harbor, and, of course, touring around looking at the redwoods. We recommend going to Stout Grove for a nice easy walk through a fantastic redwood grove.

Gorgeous view!!

We just spent a week at the Lucky Beach House, and had a great time! The house is older, and could use some updating, but is clean and comfortable, and we all felt at home there. The view out the upstairs living room windows is beautiful, I spent hours cuddled on the couch watching the ocean.

We were surprised with how much we found to do in Crescent City. For such a small city, it has a lot of family fun. My two year old especially loved the nearby playgrounds, and my 13 year old couldn't get enough of the waterslide at the local pool. My husband's favorite part of the trip was steelhead fishing on the Smith River. We all really enjoyed dinner at the Thai House, sipping coffees from Dutch Bros, and, of course, checking out all the beautiful redwoods nearby! We really enjoyed our visit and hope to come back someday.
