"River Gardens" Riverfront on Private, Fully Fenced 3/4 Acre

My girlfriend, myself and the pooch all had a wonderful time. The secluded area, the bright home and the wood burning fireplace kept us cozy. The kitchen is well stocked with whatever might be needed to prepare a nice meal. The small town within walking distance is a great place to visit after kayaking in the river.

Absolutely, positively FANTASTIC!!!!!!! We were looking for the perfect getaway for our 20th anniversary and after reading the other reviews and looking at the pictures, I've got to admit our expectations were pretty high... River Gardens FAR exceeded everything we could have hoped for! The house and property are GORGEOUS! It was just the two of us and our beloved dog... and I can't say who had more fun! The house is SO inviting and comfy and wonderful... there wasn't a single thing missing! And the property... WOW!!!! Barley had a BLAST romping around and checking out every square inch! We (and he) LOVED that he had so much room to run, but was safely contained by the fence so we never had to worry about him. And the river access was SO much fun!! We braved the canoe one day, then when we decided that the two of us and the dog in a canoe together was a bit too precarious, traded in the canoe for the kayaks. We felt MUCH more stable in those, LOL, even when Barley started out in one kayak and then decided the other kayak looked like more fun, so flung himself off to swim across the river to the other one! There was a CUTE seal that came to sun herself on a nearby log every afternoon, I got some great pictures of her!

The description of the property says you can put your car in park and still find everything you need... and that was completely true! We were there for 5 days and except for a one-day jaunt to Healdsburg to raft with Russian River Adventures (the best operation around!), we DID NOT LEAVE and were perfectly happy! We walked down to the coffee shop every morning for a little caffeine fix and a pastry (delicious!!!) and did a bit of shopping at the General Store (I'm now the proud owner of a Duncans Mills sweatshirt after forgetting my jacket). On Saturday night, we went to the General Store for some ice cream and on the walk back were lured in by the live band at the Blue Heron restaurant, so we sat on the patio with the dog and enjoyed the music and a couple of cocktails... and the bartender was hilarious!

We truly can't gush enough about how much fun we had and how incredible everything was! Vanessa was AMAZING and patiently answered my MANY questions with unfailing good cheer. We will DEFINITELY be back!!! THANK YOU for the best 20th anniversary getaway we could have ever hoped for!!!!
