Elevacres is a like having your own private resort on a mountaintop. It is perfect for family vacations, receptions, and family reunions**(see note below). There is a large sparkling Swimming Pool with a Waterfall Jacuzzi Hot Tub beside it. Secluded on all sides, our ten acres of beautiful rolling high meadows provide gorgeous long-range views down the valley. The swimming pool provides for a wonderful addition to any vacation. This pool has been in for two years now and our guests love the fact that we keep the pool very warm early in spring and late into October. It is extremely fun to be able to swim under the stars in a warm pool even when the nights start getting a little chilly. If you want to get really warm you can jump into the beautiful waterfall jacuzzi beside the pool. You will really enjoy this. As renters you are welcome to all of the adjacent 120 acres that is owned by our family and extends all the way to the top of the mountain.

You may find it hard to leave Elevacres during your vacation to visit the other sites around Asheville. But if you do venture out you will find that we are in the perfect location. Located about twenty minutes from the Biltmore House (fifteen if dad's driving!) and less to downtown Asheville, NC Arboretum, malls, and antiques, you will also get a ten minute head start on everyone headed to nearby elk watching, Ghost Town Theme Park, and downhill skiing.Here are a few other attractions: The Biltmore House, Blue Ridge Parkway, WNC Ag center (rodeos, horse shows, many other events), Many National Forest locations w/hiking and mountain biking, NC Arboretum, Downtown Asheville ( Art, Antiques, Music, Food, Festivals, Bele Chere, Shindig on the Green, Civic Center), Lakes Julian and Lure, Nantahala Whitewater Rafting, downhill skiing, Ghost Town Theme Park, Elk watching (cataloochie) Asheville and Biltmore Square Malls

Notes: We have a private pool for our guests in the huge backyard. Also there is half court basketball, skating, skateboarding and kid cars and bikes on the large concrete play area. There are 120 acres of private land for hiking and exploring.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Elevacres in October 2008. The house is quite spacious and doesn't feel like a vacation rental, it feels more like home. The kitchen was large, and well stocked with equipment. The downstairs game room was perfect for a getaway place for the kids. The house is perfect for a large family, or a couple of families. The view was absolutely incredible from the front porch and also from back of the house. We enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub under the full moon. The owners were great - we even got to have dinner with them one night. There was even a welcoming voicemail from the owner waiting for us upon arrival. We would recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a nice home with a great view in a quiet location. Not for families that are looking to be right in the middle of the action of downtown Asheville. Make sure to get exact directions, as the turn into the driveway is difficult to see at night time.
