Duck Creek Village is within driving distance from our home in Las Vegas and it is very different. A great escape to the mountains.
There are numerous ATV and Snow mobile trails.
This is the most amazing cabin in the world. It has everything a person could want and more! Very neat and amazingly clean! Nice little town within walking distance. View is stunning and great for pets as well. We are already planning our next stay. Thank you for everything!
We loved our stay in Duck Creek. The cabin was beautiful and equipped with everything we needed. Amazing view off the deck. Beds and amenities were more than adequate. We pulled out the comfy air mattress and filled the cabin. We brought all our food with us and zipped down to the convenience store in the village for eggs and the few things we forgot. It was the perfect place to cook dinner and kick back after long days in the parks. The cool mountain climate was also a great contrast to hot days in Zion and northern AZ. The roads leading to the cabin were a little muddy the first few days, but we made it up without 4-wheel drive (granted, we did have snow tires). But the roads dried out and were just fine the last few days. Great value. Beautiful location. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet escape.
You could stay in a lot of other places around Zion national park, but you would be wrong.
I have three words for you that describe how much these hosts care about making this cabin a great place. Heated. Matress. Covers. Every thing about this place was on point. It was beyoned equipped. There were tons of board games, a beautiful wrap around deck, a BBQ, tons of comfortable chairs, and even a fire pit. After a tough hike at Angel's Landing, this place was the perfect spot to rest and warm our bones.
The dirt road was definitely steep, but it is an easy feat with a 4WD car. Plus, it was kinda fun, it only added to the feel of a secluded wooded escape.
I wish I could book this place for one weekend annualy. Duck Creek was nice, and Aunt Sue's was a nice place for food.
Don't be wrong. Stay here.
Only a short 3 hour drive from Vegas and it feels like a different world. The cabin was more than we expected and had all the amenities we could have needed. Be sure to have a 4x4 because the roads leading up might be impossible without. Once we arrived we were blown away by the beauty and tranquility of the cabin and land surrounding. We will definitely be back.
Just finishing our stay at the cabin. Very happy we picked this property. The cabin has everything needed, just bring yourself and food. The new fire pit was a perfect touch each night at the end of a long day of hiking. Perfect size for the 4 of us. For the person that cant disconnect from work, like us, WIFI has a super strong signal and is zippy fast. Excellent vacation, and the cabin was a big part of it. We are already looking at upcoming dates to book again.
We enjoyed our stay in the cozy cabin. Adequate kitchen and bed. Weather unpredictably turned bad, and we were a bit surprised by the slick conditions on the unpaved, muddy mountain roads leading up to the cabin. We safely negotiated these and found it to be a good launching out point for adventures in Zion and Bryce Canyon parks.
We stayed at Cedar Haven Cabin for our tenth anniversary and had a great time. Centrally located to both Bryce and Zion, we went to both. Great 4wd country and the scenery all around is something to see. Only negative was no real fireplace or fire-pit outside, but that was my fault for not reading better, but would still have stayed as everything was perfect. Thank you.
Year round recreation is enjoyed by many in the Duck Creek Village area. It is an ideal vacation spot for your entire family. With the elevation ranging between 8,500 and 11,000 feet, the summers are nice and cool, and the winters are cozy and peaceful. You can enjoy yourself by fishing the clear lakes and streams, hiking the trails through the pine and aspen trees, bicycling, horseback riding, boating and ATV riding in the summer. Visiting Navajo Lake, Duck Creek Pond, Aspen Mirror Lake and Panguitch Lake can be a relaxing escape from the big city life.
During the fall season, you may observe magnificent colors of yellow, orange, red, brown and green in the forest.
The winter wonderland brings a complete change of scenery. Snowmobilers and cross country skiers enjoy miles of hidden beauty in the winter.
