Beautiful Adirondack wooded setting in cute town of Chestertown. Loon Lake shared waterfront access across the road. Lake front has small private beach. Several excellent restaurants within 5 minutes. Major Adirondack attractions all around, hiking, horseback riding, boating, kayaking, white-water rafting.

Cozy efficient house designed for relaxing and conversation. Screen porch gives a 'tree house' feel--has a bed for outdoor like sleeping. Nice fireplace/wood stove for cozy nights. Ping pong table in basement. Three levels and indoor and outdoor spaces make for a wonderful getaway.

Loon Lake: Loon Lake access right across the small town road from the cottage. Shared by our homeowners association, a small, quite beach is ideal for sunbathing, relaxing, nice swimming, canoe and kayak available. Good fishing. Boat rentals and wakeboard and water ski school available from Loon Lake Marina.

Nearby Activities: Lots of places to eat nearby in the hamlet of Chestertown and along Route 8. Closest golf is 10 minutes away at Green Mansions. Horseback and trail riding at Loon Lake Stables with lots of other riding in the area. World-class Adirondack hiking from Natural Bridge to the High Peaks Wilderness. Shopping at lots of local venues and outlet malls at Lake George Village. Thoroughbred racing and world class performing arts in Saratoga, 49 miles south.

Snowmobiling across the Adirondacks: Nearby trail system connects throughout Adirondacks. Can snowmobile right out of driveway, across to Loon Lake and down to county trail system, and from there, you can go just about anywhere!

Whitewater rafting on the Hudson River, skiing at Gore Mountain, fishing right on Loon Lake. Golf course in town and championship courses within 30 minutes. In summer, Saratoga (49 miles) offers thoroughbred racing and Saratoga Performing Arts Center.

Nice house as pleasant as your own home .

We enjoy to spend times in this house . Very quiet place , close to the lake with private access and very close to places to visit around like Saratoga, Lake Placid , George Lake . Chestertown is a very small village but every thing is in there , supermarket , Gas , Art gallery .

Great North Country Stay!

I have stayed with at this little gem on Loon Lake a few times and each time it has been perfect! I have been up with my family several times and I can assure you this house has everything you would want in an Adirondack home! Great kayaking, canoeing, fishing and the hiking trails are close by. The beach was great. It is very close to Gore Mountain as well and serves as an excellent ski chalet. The inside is gorgeous with wooden walls and an awesome Adirondack style screened porch. Definitely would recommend to folks of all ages!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
