OUR SOUTH CABIN OFFERS BOLD OCEANFRONT WITH FANTASTIC VIEWS!

My wife and I just returned from spending a week at the South Cabin on Bailey Island. We thought the pictures looked nice but they don't compare to the actual view, it's amazing!!! Wide open ocean for as far as you can see. Sunrises are breathtaking, lobstermen working every morning right in front of us, even on a stormy day the crashing waves on the rocks were awesome! We opened the windows which face the ocean and had great breezes every night. Also when it got a little chilly we would kick on our gas fireplace and enjoy a glass of wine watching the flames. This place was total serenity and had everything you could possibly need. The king size bed was very comfortable and we used the gas grill a few times and also cooked breakfast in the well equipped kitchen. The sun sets to the back side of the cabin so you can sit on the deck from early afternoon on without getting baked. I can't say enough about this cottage except I wish we could have stayed longer. We are definitely returning year after year. Ron and Wendy were so nice and available for anything we needed but also respected our privacy. We needed downtime and this little place was perfect for that! As close as you'll get to Heaven on Earth!

The cottage is just as described and exactly what you see in the picture, very cute and right on the edge of the rocky shoreline. It was just what we needed, a quiet spot in beautiful surroundings.
Sully the seagull visited us every morning and banged on the window for a hand-out (which he didn't get). He shadowed us closely anytime he thought we had anything edible. It was very entertaining but don't leave your food unattended or it'll disappear in the blink of an eye.
Ron and Wendy gave us a warm welcome and were very helpful. The property was clean, very comfortable, and well-maintained.
We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and plan on coming back.
