Two great weeks at the Cape in July

My wife and I spent two weeks at the cape during July 2012. By far and away, this was the nicest house on a very quiet road. We were looking for a place at the beach and were lucky to find this one… it was exactly what we wanted to get away. Most of the cottages on the street are one-story; this house is built high, giving a great view of both the birds of the area and a wonderful private beach that was only a few yards away down the road. The house has everything! As the description mentions, there is a spacious and well stocked gourmet kitchen and air conditioning for those hot summer days. Even though it seems to be “away” from everything, it is still easy to wander up and down the cape for walks, biking and, of course, whale watching. Right down the street is a great place to get lobsters and a bit further some excellent ice cream. Plus, there are a lot of nice restaurants close by and the owner, Patricia LoTurco, will gladly make recommendations. Patricia is a treasure, and a pleasure to deal with. She came by several times to give us help on finding activities and just pointing out local points of interest… like an osprey nest with young across the pond. I highly recommend Fiddler’s Green to just get away and enjoy the ocean.
