We are the second generation of the Burton family to own the home our father had built in 1970-71. As children we vacationed on the same street at a home owned by a friend before our Dad bought the lot. We grew up loving this house and all of the fun family times it represents. Now our children have made memories skiing and snowboarding at Homewood Resort, hiking Tahoe trails, swimming in Lake Tahoe, rafting the Truckee River and ridding their bikes to Sugar Pine Point.
Our Dad hand picked the location of this house for the level entry, treehouse view, and homeowners beach and pier. He designed the inside of our home for a large family using an open-room high ceiling concept that has stood the test of time. The plan included an entry 'mud-room' for all our gear and the wood room directly below it to hold exactly one cord of wood stacked from floor to ceiling along the back wall.
The home is family-friendly with forest views and on a quiet cul-de-sac street. It is in a beautiful neighborhood that has a private homeowners beach and pier. It is on the West Shore, 'the best shore' of Lake Tahoe.
