This historic cottage, originally constructed in the 1930s, is just what most people envision a beach house to be. Charming, cozy, and well appointed, our house has a warmth and beauty that will keep you coming back. Constructed before the current building codes, our house was built just off the sand, not on high stilts as is required today. This house has the charm of an original Florida beach house and the modern amenities and updates that keep you comfortable.

Wash away your worries as you relax on your own private pool deck, overlooking the bright blue ocean. Take a walk on the white sandy beach, as pelicans fly overhead. And experience the warm crystal clear surf crashing softly over your ankles. The warm sunshine, sun bathers, and palm trees just add to your Indian Rocks experience. There is everything you need to enjoy a wonderful stay in sunny Florida. Our house is just minutes from shopping, fine restaurants, and all of Florida's favorite attractions.

FAQ: 1. Is your house RIGHT ON THE BEACH?

YES! Our house is a beachfront house. You won't be surprised by finding our 'waterfront' property is actually on the nearby intercoastal waterway, or that 'steps from the beach' means its not actually on the beach.

2. Are there any CONNECTED OR ADJACENT units/buildings on the property?

NO! Our house is a SINGLE FAMILY HOUSE. There are no other units that share the gulf front lot. You won't be surprised by finding other guests on the same property, but in different units.

3. Is the pool shared or PRIVATE?

Our pool is for the exclusive use of the guests in our beach house. You won't be surprised with other unexpected guests using your pool!

4. Is your pool HEATED? Yes, by a solar heating system (except in the hot summer).

Located west of Tampa Bay on Florida's beautiful Sun Coast, Jeff and Jane's beautiful beach house is directly on the beach with no adjoining or shared facilities. Tired of condos?? Everything at our house is yours to enjoy, EXCLUSIVELY: the house, the pool, the deck, the parking....(alas, you do have to share the beach as it is public property...but it is a very quiet beach!!)

We loved our stay at Jeff's beach house. It truly is a beach house in every sense of the word. Just a few steps through the sand and you are on the beach. We spent countless hours relaxing on the deck and toasting the magnificent sunsets. The location is perfect. The master bedroom looks across the pool to the ocean. There is little sandwich/ice cream shop just a block up a beach trail, and there are a couple of other restaurants within walking distance. Jeff's house was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the wi-fi was a hugely appreciated amenity.

house was nice and perfectly located ... but we had to clean pool which was filthy and as of 10/3/2011 and after many unreturned phone calls we still have not received our deposit...
Owner's Response: Unfortunately, our house is not a perfect fit for everyone. We try to make it very clear in the booking process that we limit the number of allowed guests, don't allow pets and don't allow smoking in our house. We strongly encourage any perspective guest to seek an alternative rental if they can't abide by those limitations.

Our pool is completely cleaned and serviced once a week, usually on the day of arrival. The pump, filter, chlorinator and heating systems are all computer controlled. We leave a net and brush on the side of the house for any additional debris that might blow into the pool during the week. If this guest had an issue with our pool, they never told us. Had they brought it to our attention we could have quickly and easily addressed the issue.

PERFECT GETAWAY

If you are looking for a beautiful, relaxing piece of paradise, this is the place for you! The pictures don't even do it justice - the property and the view are both absolutely amazing! The Sicards have done a phenomenal job making the home comfortable and have thought of everything! They were also wonderful to work with - they answered all of our questions prior to and during the stay and really made us feel welcome. I highly recommend this vacation home to anyone who wants a private, relaxing stay on the beach. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful cottage, very private setting

We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more at Jeff and Janes beach front cottage. The pictures are a true reflection of the fabulous view of the beach. Several times we saw dolphins swimming past! The pool was lovely and we really liked that the deck was outside the fenced in area allowing an unobstructed view of the water. The setting of the cottage is very private and relaxing. The house was clean and had everything you needed. Loved the WI-FI. Indian Rocks Beach has a pleasant small town feel, with Largo 5 minutes away providing easy access to grocery shopping, pharmacies etc. A previous guest said that the locals weren't friendly. We had the opposite experience. Everyone we met were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Many times when we stopped to take pictures on the beach, someone would stop to offer to take a picture of our group. I would recommend this property to family and friends and intend to return myself!

Amazing Location, Relaxing Week

If you are looking for privacy on the beach and at the pool, this is the place! Bring your groceries and you literally do not need to leave the property; everything you could need is provided. The house and grounds shown in the photos are accurate and provide for a very relaxing stay. You are as close to the beach as you could get, but have the luxury of returning to the house and pool for privacy. The hosts are very kind and available should you need anything during your stay. We have already made our return plans and hope to make this an annual vacation spot.
