This house is perfect for a large gathering of people with diverse interests. Our fishermen fished each day (and CAUGHT a steelhead); our walkers went to the beach each day, and our cooks and sitters sat happily by the fireplace in the main room , cooking, reading and talking. New Year's Eve we sat around the fireplace and told stories -- and watched the fireworks from La Push (or maybe Rialto Beach?) which was a lovely little bonus!

We celebrated our wedding reception here and it was fantastic! The house and property were perfect for family and friends to stay in and also camp near the house and along the river. Also, we enjoyed how close it is to the ocean (just down the road). We could not have asked for a more magical place to celebrate with our loved ones. Byron was very helpful and accommodating ,we felt like it was a home away from home.
The property is gorgeous and peaceful, everyone had a great time! We want to plan a reunion for next year!
This place was awesome. We were there for a softball tournament in Forks and it was perfect for us. Byron made us feel very welcome. Our team loved it. We are looking forward to doing it next year. We might even stay longer. There is so much to see. Thank you so much.
P.s. We got Sportsmanship Award for the tournament weekend.
We had our wedding ceremony at Rialto Beach (a beautiful 10 min drive away) and our reception at the house. We were able to accommodate about 100 guests and have live music played on the property well into the evening without a problem, which was a big deal to us! The house and property were even bigger and better than expected, so many beds! Byron made the whole experience really easy on us, was cool with everything we needed- even some guests camping out on the property. I didn't get a chance to see it myself (busy bride) but many of the guests who walked down said the river was a really cool place as well. The wild horses in the pasture were beautiful and very entertaining to watch! Byron was also very quick about returning our deposit. We really loved the place, and so did our wedding party who stayed there 2 nights with us. We wished we could have stayed longer!
We had a wedding celebration on the property which was fantastic. Twenty-five family and friends stayed in the house, barn and tents with no sense of crowding. The wedding was by the river, not totally wheelchair accessible but I got around on my own for the most part at the reception in the pasture below the house. The outdoor celebration went on 'til midnight, catered food (traditional Quillayute salmon bake) karaoke, dj and dancing. A good time was had by all.
We are from Billings, Montana, so Byron, the owner, worked with the local wedding planner and caterer to help make the event a success. Most of the forty people at the gathering were from out of state and everyone enjoyed their stay. We fished, explored the 80 acres on a 4x4, soaked up the peace and quiet, partied, stared up at the Milky Way, hiked, visited the ocean beaches, went charter fishing, visited the Hoh Rain Forest, played the piano and generally relaxed and enjoyed the place.
Coffee in the morning on the deck overlooking field and trees was memorable. This was a fantastic place to have a wedding celebration and we highly recommend it to all. We hope to return. Thank you Byron.
We just returned from a 3 day visit to this nice area. We had a large group of young kids and group of parents. We set up a volleyball court and tents for the teenage boys. We brought lots of river friendly inflatables and enjoyed the calm parts of the river. There is a wonderful fire pit outside and the kitchen is well-equipped. The laundry area is nice to have due to the constant outdoor play. The home is clean and well kept. The beds were comfortable and the outdoor area is well maintained. Byron had all this nice dry chopped wood for our use. We hiked in Neah bay and played at the best in LaPush. Enjoy this place! We rent a lot on VRBO and enjoy finding a good value.
Beautiful house on a great piece of land. The house is very spacious for a big party. Kids loved the horses and the cows on the property. 10 minutes away from First beach and Rialto beach. The Hoh Rain forest is an hour away and beautiful. The owner is very helpful and kind. We loved our stay!
