Family of 5 who love northern Michigan!
The Owner purchased this cottage in 2004
a perfect setting off the track, but close to anything 'upnorth', large property with a 'buy me, you won't be dissappointed' message.
Nature wonderland; frogs, beavers, eagles, sounds of howling (wolves?) fish. hammock snoozes, completed books, campfires, smores, more fish, flowers, peace, 'on golden pond 'ambiance, cozy comfort of wood on floors and walls is serene
Your cabin is such a lovely place in all ways.
I was completely stressed out when we arrived and completely blissful when we left.
It was just right for my father and son too, who shared the upstairs bedroom.
I loved the dishware in the kitchen and all the green, yellow and orange glass accents. So pretty.
I left a comment. Hope it encourages others to stay at your place.
Our family of 4 adults and 1 11yr. old girl had a wonderful visit at the Lily Pad. The cottage itself is a lovely and well kept home with all the amenities including plenty of storage space which is unusual in most cottages. We lucked out with a beautiful weather week in the mid to high 70's and blue skies. We enjoyed kayaking and our attempts at fishing (we'll get them next time!). We visited Petoskey, Mackinaw City, Mackinaw Island, and Cheboygan where we ate at a delicious restaurant, Pier 33 on the river. The meal at Legs Inn in Cross Village was great as well. The cottage location is so close to so many places and activities that I still have a list of things we did not have time to do or visit. Now, if we could just get rid of those pesky mosquitoes after sunset, we would know we were close to heaven.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Lily Pad. The cabin had everything we could hope for and the property was fantastic. The sunsets, the sound of the loons, and the privacy were all the perfect prescription for a relaxing getaway. The location is ideal for so many trips to many great northern Michigan destinations. Thank you for the perfect stay!!
The Lily Pad was lovely and we enjoyed our stay. Very relaxing and just wonderful. Great location and near many cities for day trips. We would definitely rent this cottage again. We highly recommend the Northwood Restaurant. Also, the Cheboygan Country Club offers a deal on golf on Wednesday and Saturday. The rate for 18 holes w/cart was $20. Can't beat that and it was a challenging course.
Our family had the best time at the Lily Pad. The cabin was beautiful & the lake view amazing.
Great stay at the Lily Pad for our family of four! This cabin rental is a wonderful way to enjoy Northern Michigan. Pictures are accurate and cabin is nicer inside than we anticipated.
The Lily Pad was a great place to spend our vacation. Even though I had orders to not overplan our trip, we ended up venturing out every day. We enjoyed trekking off to Mackinac Island, Sault Ste. Marie, Petosky, Boyne Mountain Resort for zip lining, etc. every day and then returning to the cabin for dinner, a fire, and fishing. We felt like we were away from it all, but we were only minutes away from the sites we wanted to see. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would definitely consider a return trip!
We can take you on a tour of your choice of 2 other locally owned properties if interested: a historical Foursquare Colonial Home & Carriage House restored from the early 1900's "Pearlview"- relocated from "Main Street" to a sunset bluff on the shores of Paradise Lake: or visit a Native Indian landing area on a 150 foot high bluff & sandy beach north of Harbor Springs with a romantic "Bliss style" log cabin from the 1950's named "Shorecabin" ---these properties are privately owned &(loved)& available for weekly/monthly rentals! We can recommend many great experiences "up north". . .for kids & adults!
