Needed Getaway

The Lily Pad was a great place to spend our vacation. Even though I had orders to not overplan our trip, we ended up venturing out every day. We enjoyed trekking off to Mackinac Island, Sault Ste. Marie, Petosky, Boyne Mountain Resort for zip lining, etc. every day and then returning to the cabin for dinner, a fire, and fishing. We felt like we were away from it all, but we were only minutes away from the sites we wanted to see. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would definitely consider a return trip!

Great Place

We stayed in August of 2012. We had a great time. Cabin is clean and as advertised. Owners were very helpful and polite. I enjoyed the fishing dock, the fire pit, and the nice backyard. Lots of room for kids to run and play. The lake is very quiet and very nice. Never saw another boat all week.

Lots of wildlife and birds around the property. The best fishing on the lake is at the end of the dock. We caught bluegill, pike, and a few largemouth bass.

Dont miss the "secret" beach on Douglas. Very nice and a huge sandbar for the kids.

Week Getaway

My wife, parents, and my wife's parents (for a couple of days) spent a week relaxing, playing games, and fishing. The place was wonderful, very well equipped and clean. Altogether we caught 70 fish to include six pike, a catfish, a bass, a perch and the rest a mixture of blue gill and sun fish. The boat ran great and fishing off of the dock proved to be the best fishing. There was plenty of firewood for a hot dog roast and s'mores and the garden with a variety of vegtables was a great touch. Best of all it brought us a place that was extremely peaceful and quiet. Thanks for a great week.
