Day Dream is a large professionally decorated 5 suites/5.5 bathroom Gulf Front home located in the Dunes gated subdivision in Fort Morgan. You will love our local amenities: 2 pools, exercise room and hot tub. Everything is so close by and convenient. The pools are only 50 yards from the house and the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico only 45 yards away. The board walk right off the deck makes the beach access easy and convenient for everyone.
Our immaculate home was designed to welcome everyone. The elevator makes it easy to transport your luggage and groceries and it comes handy for those that might need extra help going up and down to the beach.
We have thought of every detail to make your vacation enjoyable and stress free. We provide several amenities for children such as a Play station, high chair, bed rail, booster seat and beach toys.
The adults fare even better. We have plenty of sitting space in the living room to enjoy our brand new 42” plasma TV. The kitchen is fully accessorized with brand new dinnerware, a dining table that seats 10 people + 4 bar stools. Additionally an ice maker and an array of small appliances will make your stay easy and convenient.
Our five suites will allow you to enjoy much deserved rest after a full day at the beach. Two of our 5 bedrooms are Gulf Front and you can enjoy the gulf front deck on the second floor. Our sleeping arrangements are flexible and will work for most groups, we have: 4 king size beds, 2 twins, 1 day bed, 1 roll away bed and 3 sleepers. All bedrooms feature a TV + DVD player.
Although a captivating and relaxing home like ours is all you need to hang out with family and friends, we understand that sometimes turning off completely is not possible. Bearing that in mind we also offer you with Wireless High Speed Internet.
To top it off, the proximity with the water will allow you to relax and marvel over the simple pleasures of children’s laughter, friends’ chatter and the dolphin choreography you can often observe from our gulf front decks. Your vacation at Day Dream will be unforgettable!
We took all our kids and grandchildren and also another couple with us to this house. We arrived right after hurricane IKE. We were still able to stay since the oner of the home was able to get her repair person there to make sure everything was in working order.Great location if you have little ones going to the beach. Well equipted with amenties for children 2 and under and toys for the beach for 2 and up.Would stay there again with out hesitation. There is a walmart 20 miles from house were we went and done our grocery shopping. We did not go into town as we were content to just use the beach and the pools that were provided.
Of vacation experiences, I've rarely had to write a negative review, so I will begin the positive things. The house is nicely decorated and the carpet appears to be newly installed. There were plenty of dishes for our large group of 6 adults, 5 teenage girls and 1 infant. I enjoyed seeing the multitude of spices in the cabinet. The ice machine was a nice touch, but the cleaning light was on and appears to need some maintenance.
Now for some corrective feedback. The pictures of the loft area indicate it is an actual loft, when in fact, it is a daybed in the hallway, top of the stairs in front of the only door that exits to the second-floor balcony between the two master bedrooms. It is one of the busiest spots in the house. I targeted the “loft” for my single grown son to give him a little privacy. He eventually separated the space by hanging a blanket between the two bedroom doors. The map of the property indicates it is closer to the public. While that is great for the adults, the teenage girls had to drive 20 miles to get to the action. I enjoyed the remote location but worried about my girls when they were in town. The amenities list needs to be updated. NO baby crib, NO video game console. Of the 4 (not 6) beach chairs, 3 chairs were rusted and ripped leaving only one functional chair. We could and would have brought our own functional beach chairs, had we known. There were several leaking windows and two of them fell out. One window over the kitchen sink and the second window in the orange master bedroom. This is the window where the baby was sleeping and it was a miracle the baby’s crib wasn’t in front of the window when it came crashing down at 4 a.m. Upon inspection, there was a paper towel stuffed in the window frame presumably to hold it in place. Other broken/non-functional items included the elevator, the fireplace, the outdoor shower and the top rack of the dishwasher. The maintenance phone number was called, when we first arrived, but we never received a response. This is a nice house, but unfortunately, it has not been very well maintained. It’s not the 4/5 star rating indicated by the reviews. One other thing as an FYI. We drove in from Dallas, TX, planning on taking the ferry. We arrived at 3:15 p.m. after being on the road for 12 hours. Not only had the 3:30 p.m. sold out, but the last one of the day at 5 p.m. had sold out as well. We then had to take another 2- hour drive around the bay. Carolyn Scott Naile
Our large family rented the Day Dream property for a week at the end of the season October 3-11. Overall, it was perfect for us. The large deck looks over the dunes and out to the beach. We brought a 10x10 canopy which we really needed for the shade. The beach access is via a walkway parallel to the beach that is accessed from the back deck and this home is on the end that is close to the actual walkway out to the beach. We have rented lots of houses in the past and this was, without a doubt, the best stocked kitchen of any past rental. It even had sharp knives which is unheard of! The large table was perfect for our big family. We pulled up a few extra chairs and squeezed all 14 of us around the table. The TV's, internet etc all worked well. We did not use the pool. We ate out a few times and went down to the shrimp festival but mostly stayed at home because it is 19 miles from the house back to the main drag. For grocery shopping I would definitely recommend Walmart over Publix. I usually love Publix but they had terribly inflated prices for the tourists. A watermelon was $10! The beds were comfortable (we didn't pull out the couches, the younger adults brought air mattresses) and each bedroom having a bath was amazing. My parents are handicapped so the elevator was a must and the master bath had pull up bars and a higher toilet. The washer and dryer was great as we did a load or 2 of towels every night. The staff at Bella Beach properties was always very nice and helpful. The home had not been rented the week before we arrived so we were even able to arrange to pay a little extra and come in a night early. We had several vehicles and there was room to get all 6 cars pullted off the street. The carpet was pretty stained and tired looking but it was the end of the season so I'm sure that is the reason for that. The only negative was the water was shut off to the toilet in the downstairs half bath and it sprayed water when it was turned on. We called 4 times to get this repaired and no one ever came. A little inconvenient for those sleeping in the alcove and living room but not really a major problem since there were 5 other bathrooms. We would definitely recommend this property and this management company to future renters.
The house and the location were wonderful! This house is perfect for families wanting to vacation together but still have their own space with each bedroom having their own private bath. The beach was beautiful and we were able to leave our chairs and tent out each night. The kids had a ball playing on the beach and though the pool seems a bit far, it is an easy walk. The grocery store is 20 minutes away but we planned ahead for that. The elevator was a life saver as we had a person in a wheelchair. It also was helpful when loading and unloading luggage. The weather was absolutely beautiful this time of year! The only downside to the property was the response by the property managers. The half bath was unusable and the downstairs lights were all blown. We notified housekeeping immediately after arriving but after four phone calls and no response, we emailed the property managers. The half bath toilet had a note from previous guests that it was not working and I am sure when the place was cleaned that it was obvious that there was no lights downstairs or on the upstairs hallway stairs. We checked in on Saturday. The property manager did call on Monday and stated that someone would be out that day to take care of everything. We called back Tuesday and were told someone would be out that day. Tuesday afternoon a maintenance man did come out and fix all lights but said he would have to come back the next day to fix the toilet. The issue was we had small children coming in from the beach as well as a handicapped person and they had to go all the way upstairs to use the bathroom. The maintenance man did not show up the next day and we received NO notification when he would be back. On Friday, I again called the property manager and was told it had been fixed when in fact no one had ever returned to fix the problem. The manager did call back and apologize and said the maintenance man would be back that afternoon to fix it. I thought, Why bother? We were leaving Saturday anyway! The property manager didn't seem to mind that we were inconvienced because I was told they were having major problems with a condo. To be honest, I could care less. We weren't renting a condo, we were renting a beach house that we expected to have functioning bathrooms. The fact that the property managers did not take the time to make sure the issues were handled is what bothers me. We would love to have rented this place again next year if issues had been handled accordingly.
An extended family group of nine of us stayed at this property in April 2014. The photos and description are accurate, although the room colors are not quite as bright as suggested by the photos. The decorating is pleasing to the eye but there are a few areas of wear or chips in the wall paint. The rental agency (Bella Beach
Properties) was polite, responsive, and honest whenever I had a question or concern. We loved having 5 bedrooms, each with an attached full bath. The washer and dryer worked well and were handy to have. An ice maker (separate from the fridge) can keep a lot of drinks nice and cold. The view out the living room windows of the Gulf of Mexico is awesome, since this property is just across the dunes from the beach. Beach access is super easy, just down a boardwalk. The beach was clean and not at all crowded during our stay. We enjoyed being far from the crowds in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, but be aware that the nearest grocery store is a good 20 miles away. Consider this property if you like getting away from the crowds and spending time with family or friends at the beach.
I do have to mention a few things that somewhat detracted from an otherwise excellent stay. During our stay, we had a good rain storm with wind-driven rain whipping in off the Gulf. The windows on the Gulf side of the property all leaked water, enough to soak a pair of shoes that was too near the window. The carpets and flooring got wet. The gas grill works but is in a poor state of repair, having wheels that fall off, an igniter that does not work, and one side of the handle unattached. You will need two people to move the grill out since the wheels fall off. The starter amounts of supplies such as garbage bags, toilet paper, and dish soap, were adequate only for the first day. We had to get more of these things right away. The stereo system is a nice addition but the subwoofer only made a loud buzzing noise and had to be unplugged. I could not get the fireplaces to light (I gave up rather quickly, though). The high speed internet was good for keeping in touch and checking email but not fast enough to stream a movie. The property lacked instructions for how to use the internet, fireplace, stereo system, intercom, telephone, etc. It also lacked information about which two of the three nearby pools you have access to, and how to get into the exercise room (you need a key).
In spite of these things, we really enjoyed our stay and would rent this house again.
Our family enjoyed a wonderful week at "Day Dream"! There were 11 of us - 5 adults and 6 children. We found "our home" with the directions supplied to us quite easily. We loved the proximity to the gulf and the gorgeous view off the back porch. The water was beautiful as well as the beach - which we found not very crowded.
The first day we encountered a few problems which the owner addressed immediatley and solved to our satisfaction. Although we never used the elevator (we liked the exercise of going up and down the stairs), it was an added feature that I am sure others would appreciate. The house was VERY comfortable and the fact that there were so many bathrooms, was a real plus. Between the fridge and the icemaker, we always had plenty of ice. We loved having the dish washer because we ate a lot of meals around the big kitchen table.
My husband, our adult children and I would definitely recommend "Day Dream" for a family vacation. Our only suggestion would be to get your supplies before settling in. There is a grocery store now named Bell's that had everyting we needed and got most of our provisions there. We never went to WalMart, but I understand it is also available.
Our family had a wonderful time visiting various attractions in the area. We went to the museum at the Naval Station in Pensacola. We took the car ferry to Mobile and visited the alligator farm. We went to Lulu's for dinner which the kids loved.
Enjoy your stay at "DayDream". It is a wonderful vacation for all ages!!
