Charming Sconset home in village, very close to beach, tennis and Sconset Market, short drive to golf. Fully appointed kitchen, elegant dining room, parlor and living room with multiple seating areas. Game room with nice view. Backs onto Front St., a quiet shell-lined street great for kids. Friday to Friday rentals.

Convenient Location in heart of village: Our house is located within easy walking distance to several local restaurants, a local market, and a tennis club. The 'Sconset Market has a variety of groceries and also bakery items. Their special attraction is their selection of ice cream. The beach is a short walk away. 'Sconset is served by bike paths for those who wish to venture out and explore the island. The Siasconset Historic Trust has created a nice park at the historic Siaconset Lighthouse about a mile to the north. Visitors to the lighthouse can learn about the 2007 lighthouse moving project which created the park. Golfers will enjoy a choice of three golf courses, each within a mile or so from the house.

  • Although there is no bathroom on the first floor, this cottage offers two bathrooms. One is located at the end of the second floor corridor and is a full bath with shower. The second bath is located on the third floor and is a full bath with a claw foot tub. This bath also serves as the laundry.

  • When one views this 1800's whaling cottage from the exterior, they are often surprised at its capacity. Six bedrooms all along a central second floor corridor offer comfortable sleeping for eleven. Two bedrooms offer limited views of the ocean which lies approximately 200 meters to the east. The bedrooms are all well ventilated.

We stayed here in August and have to say we had a blast. The house is very spacious and open. Great location, just a few minute walk to the beach and to Siasconset Market. We had six adults in our group and everyone had a great time. Great views from back bedroom...we woke up to a full ocean view every morning, you can't beat it. The owners were great and the house was very clean. You won't find a better value in Siasconset. We can't wait to return.

My family and I have stayed at Nonantum for each of the past three summers. Without exception, our experience has been excellent. The location in 'Sconset could not be better -- just a few minutes walk to both the beach and the village center. The owners are easy to deal with and keep the property in good shape year to year. For larger parties in particular (we typically have 9 people), this is one of the better values in 'Sconset.

not what we expected; a bit of a disapointment

upon arrival house smelled extremely musty>furniture very old, lumpy, not comfortable>House not clean: bugs and spiderwebs on windowsills>kitchen filthy with food left in cabinets; crumbs on counters> overall"stickiness". took me two hours to clean and had to buy cleaning products> Owner mildly responsive, seemed shocked to hear my complaint; was told by her contact that the place was spotless (this is when I became shocked...obviously people havd different standards) owner offered to try to get cleaning people to come but noone ever showed>No bath on first floor and floors very wavy thru whole house...esp in front entrcway; very hazardous<home extremely charming just needs major updating and really good cleaning.
