Indian Pass House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms, 3.5 Baths (Sleeps 6) 1 king, 1 queen, 2 twins, sleeper sofa

'Get Your Bathing Suit On'is a custom-built, Key West-style beach home that has RELAX written all over it! This first-tier home, has fantastic gulf front views. It is less than 100 steps to the beautiful, white, sandy beach of the Gulf of Mexico. The gorgeous Gulf beach views can be appreciated from the living room, dining room, the loft, the porch, the deck and the kitchen of our home. With its 3 separate sleeping areas, with a total of four baths, screened porch and sundeck, our whimsically-decorated home can easily accommodate a family or small group... but is still small enough for couples on a romantic getaway!!

We also try to simplify what you need to pack by providing all your linens, including beach towels, as well as a starter supply of paper towels, toilet paper, bath soap, and detergents.

For your convenience, we have two cruiser bikes a bike rack for taking the bikes to the Cape Bike Path, a tandem kayak that will fit three as well as a kayak cart for rolling the kayak easily to the beach. We also maintain a supply of beach chairs, rafts, nets, kids fishing poles, snorkeling masks, tennis rackets, two beach umbrellas, a crab trap, boogie boards, wave boards, noodles, shovels, pails, grilling utensils and beach toys!

There is plenty do do but if you decide to stay at our wonderful home and just relax, you will have a fantastic time enjoying the sweeping Gulf views and spectacular sunsets from the living room, kitchen, dining room, loft, sun deck and screened porch and if you decide to stroll along our quiet and award winning beaches, you can find a variety of seashells to collect, watch the dolphins swimming by, see the mullet jumping in the bayou or catch the eagles and osprey scouting for prey.

Of course, swimming, sunbathing, fishing in the surf or crabbing in the bayou are always a lot of fun.

Our area outfitters also rent bikes, canoes, paddle boards, snorkeling equipment and kayaks and can deliver them to our home if you ask them too!

Our neighborhood is extremely quiet and friendly, with no thru traffic - a great place for families with children, or for anyone who just wants to get away from it all!

Money Bayou is just a short walk down the beach where you can catch blue crabs, throw your cast net or put in your kayak to explore the winding waterway. Scalloping in nearby St. Joe Bay is also a lot of fun during the summer scallop season. These sweet, tender delicacies are a favorite for dinner or can be frozen to be enjoyed later when you return home. In addition, nearby Indian Pass is famous for its delicious oysters!

If you rent for at least three days (but not over 30 days) between March 1st and October 31st, we will allow you to use our activity passes for Golfing at the country club, deep sea fishing aboard the Fish'n Xpress, horseback riding at Rockin' M Ranch's and free DVD rentals. You are entitled to one pass to each of the activities every day of your rental.

Once you reserve, our property management office can help you with reserving your tee times, fishing excursions, riding sessions and can also give you information on where to pick up the free DVDs.

FLOOR PLAN:

The GROUND LEVEL has a bedroom with a queen bed and a private 1/2 bath which is perfect for the mother-in-law or a guest couple. The garage is also on this level and contains the washer & dryer as well as a plentiful supply of beach chairs, rafts and beach toys for your convenience. There is also a hot/cold outdoor shower conveniently located on the ground-level deck.

The MAIN LEVEL has gleaming heart pine floors throughout. It contains the kitchen with breakfast bar, dining nook and living room that open to the screened porch with pub-height table and chairs that make it easy to dine 'al fresco' while enjoying the view. In addition, the inside dining area has a very comfortable window seat perfect for afternoon naps or reading a book from our collection. The Master Bedroom, with king bed, is also located on this level and has a private full bath. The second full bath is also on this level.

The LOFT, which serves as the third bedroom, has two twin beds with built-in drawers. The loft also has a 1/2 bath. It is perfect for kids/teenagers or friends. It also has a large open area that provides plenty of extra room for play.

The house has WiFi and all the bedrooms and the loft have their own TVs with DVD players. There is also a TV, DVD player and CD player in the living room.

Our area is reminiscent of 'Old Florida.' There are no tall condos or hotels anywhere near by! Our beaches are very quiet and peaceful, and in the off-season, in particular, you will rarely encounter anyone as you stroll quietly along the beach!

Our house is located just 1.5 mi. from Cape San Blas - which has been rated in the top five of the best beaches in the United States. Port St. Joe is only 10 minutes to the west, where you can stock up on all of the provisions you'll need. If you're not in the mood to cook, there are a number of great, local restaurants and night spots nearby. A golf course is only a few miles away and there are 4 separate boat ramps within 15 miles.

Just 20 minutes to the east is the historic and quaint fishing town of Apalachicola. Here you will find some great shopping as well as many wonderful restaurants and night spots. In addition, you can just walk along the boardwalk and see what catch the fishing boats have brought in for the day.

We invite you to stay at 'Get Your Bathing Suit On'to relax and enjoy 'Old Florida.'

About The Owner

Our family always wanted a house on the beach and this beach house is a dream come true. We love to swim and fish, Kayak and bike and to just sit on the porch and listen to the music of the birds, the wind and the waves. We are originally from Cuba but now live in the Northeast. We enjoy this house so much and we hope that you will too!!

The Owner purchased this house in 2004

Why The Owner chose Indian Pass

Money Bayou and Money Beach are unique. This is the only place in the Cape San Blas area where you can enjoy all the wonders of the beach and the bayou within steps of each other. Our proximity to St. Vincent's Wildlife Refuge, the St. Joseph Peninsular Park and to the St. Joe Buffer Preserve make this about as an ideal beach, boating, fishing, cycling and exploring beach experience as you will find anywhere!

What makes this house unique

The Bayou for cast netting and crabbing, the surf for swimming and surf fishing, the bike path (a mile away) for cycling, the Raw Bar for great food and camaraderie, the Buffer Preserve, the state park and the Wildlife Refuge for nature exploration (you can see sea horses swimming in the bay at the state park!!!). The closest restaurant is about a mile away. It is the Indian Pass Raw Bar and is famous for its oysters and other seafood (as well as for its VERY casual atmosphere.. it is a DEFINITE local culture experience you should try!) There are a few other restaurants that are fairly nearby, however, if you want even MORE shopping and restaurants-besides those that are nearby- there are a number to choose from in Port St. Joe (9 miles west) and Apalachicola (19 miles east), Mexico Beach (20 miles west) and Panama City (48 miles west).

Get Your Bathing Suit On

TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!!
Having never been to Indian Pass/Port St Joe before we didn't know what to expect, but the moment we walked in, we felt at home! The owners have thought of everything, from the well equipped kitchen for cooking, to the very comfortable beds, to all the things you will need on the beach. They are very friendly and so easy to work with. The entire house was VERY CLEAN which was important to us. They have a "full size" washer/dryer so you never have to worry about running out of towels, of which are plush! While there, you might what to visit St Vincent Island - be prepared to walk, and you can take a picnic lunch with and eat on the beach. You will want to take your camera and binoculars so you can get an up close look at the Bald Eagles. They are spectacular! We watched them from the top balcony of the house and were mesmerized as they flew over our heads on their way to get breakfast from the sea. Indian Pass Raw Oyster Bar is a must! Everywhere we went and everyone we met were friendly and welcoming. The perfect place to relax and get away from everything. We will go back and soon! Thank you so much Teresa for an amazing week at the most amazing place!

Owner's Response: Angy,

Please come back soon. I cannot wait for you to send me the pictures of those bald eagles. We have seen them on St. Vincent's but never right there off our porch. Thank you for your visit and your kind review!

It can't get any better than this. Great place for families who live far away to meet up. Room downstairs with a shower outside (my fav), a master bedroom, for the grandparents, and the loft for the kids. Would like to make this a new family tradition

Beach Paradise!

  • 5 of 5
Growing up in Florida and being from Miami, I am no stranger to a nice beach. This beautiful and comfortable house located on the "Forgotten Coast" of Port St. Joe is no regular beach vacation though. I visited this house with 4 members of my family, all ranging in age from 15 to 60. The drive to this beach house made me forget I was in Florida...It felt like we were driving into a paradise with minimal traffic (from people or cars), which is such a relief from most of our "everyday lives." When we arrived at the beach house, the women in my group squealed with excitement at how beautiful it was, while the boys and men went straight for the beach, hammock and outside shower. We shared many laughs while trying to fish during the day and, at night, sitting on the beautifully screened porch that faces the ocean. If you have a car and would like to get out of the house for an evening, the drive to the local town is not far and has nice shops and good restaurants (you are on the beach, so you KNOW the seafood will always be fresh!) In the mornings, you may see dolphins jumping over the water, which is such a magical sight. This house has everything that you could ever need on a relaxing beach vacation...But then again, what more can you ask for with a location and view like this one. Thank you for a vacation that my family and I will never forget! We hope to return soon!

  • 5 of 5
I brought my son and his bird watching club to this house. We had a wonderful time the St Vincent bird area was amazing and the water was clear as can be. The house was very clean and very well stocked with Towels beach chairs rafts etc. There were 6 of us and an infant and we were very comfortable. Never felt like we were crowded. We love the area and will return

Owner's Response: We are so glad that you had a great trip. St. Vincent's Wildlife Preserve and the St. Joseph Preserve Buffer have the most amazing birds. The wild life viewing in the Money Bayou area is pretty unique. For our family there is nothing more majestic than sitting on our porch in the early morning and watching the dolphins swim while the seabirds fly in the pink sunrise.

A slice of Heaven on Earth

  • 5 of 5
This was our 3rd time at this rental. The house is immaculate. The owners are the best people to work with reasonable and reactive if anything is needed. The area is amazing! We caught fish right in the gulf, Crabs in the bayou. We went kayaking snorkeling, deep sea fishing. The area has all the activities you would ever want as well as the privacy and serenity if you need that .The house sleep 6 but it’s almost like 3 separate places the kids in the loft has a blast with the games and TVs. They also had a ½ bath all to themselves. After a wonderful day at the beach they felt like they were in their own private area. The master with its full bath is quiet has a wall mounted TV and is very comfortable. Downstairs the queen bedroom with its own ½ bath is almost an in-law suite. The outdoor shower is so refreshing, nothing better than showering while hearing the ocean. Needless to say we will return a 4th time
