Perfectly Located Downtown Buenos Aires. Charming Recoleta / Barrio Norte Apart.

First this apt is not in Recoleta, but actually in Palermo. It was a taxi ride to the Recoleta. Had we know this in advance we would definately not have rented this apt. While the location was convient to the subway, and stores so were a lot of apts we had looked at actually located in the Recoleta. One thing this apt was definately not clean. Floors were dirty, ants in the bathroom and roaches in the kitchen, even found one in the refrigator. Cooking was out of the question with the condition of the pots and pans, plus the roaches. So, this just added to cost of the apt because we ate out everyday. Should have just rented a costlier apt with a kitchen that was usable. To use the microwave you had to unplug the coffee pot then replug the pot back in. So everyone had to just guess what unit was pluged in and figure it out on their own. While we were not expecting much from the door man we got exactly nothing. He speaks only Spanish so for English speaking couples there is no communication. Would you believe we didn't even find out until the last day what to do with the trash. And we found out from the rental agent at checkout time. All in all this apt was a disapointment for all 4 of us. I doubt it was that our expectations were to high it just didn't live up to its write-ups or the reviews.
