The house has three levels of living, each level featuring bedrooms and a bathroom, new furnishings in 2009, and supplied with linens and amenities. 4 Cable TVs, foozball, laundry and tons of windows. In a quiet lovely neighborhood but only 3 minute drive to swimming at beautiful Echo Lake where you can watch rock climbers on Cathedral Ledge. Also only 5 minutes to one of the most popular canoe/kayak/tubing rivers in New England, the Saco offers miles of gently moving water with sandy beaches along the way. Within 20 minutes are the attractions of Storyland, the Cog Railroad and the Auto Road up Mt. Washington, the Conway Scenic Railroad, museums, antique shops and exciting night life. North Conway is a three season destination. Mt. Washington is located just a few miles away and just minutes away are both summer and winter activities at Attitash Ski area, Cranmore Ski Area and Black Mountain Ski Area. The Saco River provides wonderful kayaking and tubing with numerous sandy beaches. Rock climbing on Cathedral Ledge or swimming in Echo Lake, biking, hiking and sight seeing are minutes away. Shopping and dining are major activities after a busy day. Night life, family activities, sleigh rides, ice skating are also within minutes. Storyland, Mt. Washington Auto Road, the Cog Railway are within 20 minutes. Antique shops, boutiques and outlet shopping attract people year round. The location of this property is fantastic for getting to all the activities in the area. There is also a back way to get around and avoid the traffic which has made this rental popular.

Notes: VIP card available for use of a local resort swimming pool. We are in the process of furnishing this house. This is our second vacation home rental in North Conway and we want to make it comfortable for each renter. Since changes are being made, you can make special requests and we will try to accommodate your group. We have a relatively bug-free outdoor space in a quiet neighborhood. Sitting on the deck in summer and looking at the mountains is very enjoyable. We are sure you will enjoy this home. Free cross-country skiing and tubing at Great Glen Nordic area included for winter guests.

Ski details: Cranmore is located 5.5 miles from house. Attitash is 8 miles, Wildcat is about 17 miles. black Mountain is 10 miles. North Conway village is 3 miles, outlet shopping is 6 miles. Restaurants are everywhere!! Cross country skiing, sleigh rides, horseback riding are nearby. Spring skiing in Tuckerman's Ravine for the brave hearted. Snowmobiling and dog sled rides can be arranged for you. We have free vouchers for cross country skiing and tubing at Great Glen.

Summer fun: Withhin minutes are Storyland, Attitash water park, hiking, swimming at Echo Lake State Park beach or in the Saco River, canoeing, kayaking (rentals available) . There are wonderful restaurants, antique shops, outlet shopping, --something for everyone. Ride the Conway Scenic Railroad or take a moose tour. Yes, we have plenty of moose--take one home, please. Be driven to the summit of Mt. Washington for spectacular views or drive yourself if you dare. There are several 18 hole golf courses nearby.

Christmas shopping: The village is alive with folks from 'away' doing their tax free Christmas shopping in the boutiques of the village or in the hundreds of outlet stores. Special weekend activities take place during November and December. Sign up ahead to have the children ride the Polar Express. This activity requires advance planning and $$ but it is worth it. The kids will never forget the magic of the trip.

Seven writers from the group that meets weekly at the Toadstool Bookshop enjoyed an unforgettable weekend at the lovely lodge house, which exceeded expectations. The house was lovely, well-stocked, and so comfortable, we didnt' want to leave! Though we had torrential rain on Saturday, sitting in the lovely garden room was like writing beneath a waterfall -- without getting wet. The kitchen was great, as were the bedrooms and baths. Can't beat the bargain price for such a beautiful and spacious home, and our hostess, Jackie, was delightful. We're coming back in the spring.

I would highly recommend this property. The web site pictures doesn't do the home justice.The entire home is post & beam and is beautiful. Everything was clean and neat when we arrived. We had a wonderful time.

Great Place to Stay!

The house is great - large open spaces, clean, and great for kids! Everything you need is there - just go and relax. Close dive to Echo Lake. Less then 10 minutes using back roads to town center and 15 minutes to Storyland. We would rent again!

Great home, Greater hostes!!

We were the first guests to be booked in this home and were happy to test it out. It was my wife and I, my mother and father in law, and our 5 children. We got to the home, which was easy to find and as we entered we were amazed at how big this home it. It has a very big floor space and plenty of bedrooms. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs, a loft and a full bath, the main floor has a shower and a bedroom, along with a big kitchen, dishwasher, microwave, eating utensils, plates. All you would need to bring is food. Downstairs (very cool on hot days) has a cherry wood bar, tv, 2 more bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. We enjoyed this house very much. The wrap around porch and grill is great and the neighborhood was very quite. During our trip we had gone up Cathedral Ledge, this is near the home (autoroad to the top, great view) and as we went to go back to our van, it wouldn't start. I had happen to ask someone if I could get a jumpstart and someone was very kind to help me, well that didn't work, so they had ended up giving us a ride back to this home. When I got back I called Jackie and Bob ( Hostes, they leave a tracphone in the house for emergencies ) and had told them the situation and asked if they new any local repair shops. They were more than gracious to us, Bob had given me a name of a towing company and repair shop that was only 5 minutes away. He even had offered us his SUV to use for the next day. I was shocked, I've never been offered this before and he insisted we use it so our vacation wouldn't be ruined. I couldn't thank them enough. I would definatly go back to this home.
