Located in John's Pass, great shopping, dining, nightlife, wildlife, and the beach are all within walking distance of this waterfront property. It has a private, deep water dock with a boat slip, and a small swimming pool to create a relaxing oasis for 'getting away from it all'. Dolphins and sometimes Manatees will pay you a visit as you relax in the privacy of your own backyard.
This unit is fully equipped and ready to be enjoyed. The bedroom has a queen size bed and the living room has a sleeper sofa. There is also a futon chair which folds out and is perfect for a small child. A boat slip is also available.
The Beach Trolley runs from St. Pete Beach all the way to Clearwater Beach with a stop right in front of John's Pass. At Polito del Mar you can have the convenience of a great location with the privacy of a duplex instead of a multi-unit apartment. Relax, refresh, and enjoy.

We enjoy being directly on the water. We can fish right from our backyard! It is very private but at the same time we are in the middle of John's Pass with the beach, great shopping, dining and recreation only steps away. We can either walk or take the trolley or mass transit anywhere we want to go. It is perfect for 2 adults or 2 adults and 1-2 children.
This was a great location for a variety of vacation experiences: beach time, shopping, reading and relaxation and wonderful dining. Just across the street is the vibe of John's Pass and just behind is the quiet Intracoastal Waterway. We enjoyed the daily visits of birdlife - even the knocking on the back door if we were not up yet to greet them by the pool. This is an older but well-loved property. Everything we needed was in the cottage - the kitchen was well stocked with anything needed to cook and dine - we were very close to a Publix for food supplies - New TV, new refrigerator and a washer and dryer. We were college friends so one slept in the bedroom and the other on the futon in the living area. We shopped the Pass and power shopped the huge Mall in Ellenton - an easy drive. We also enjoyed the beach, which is a very easy and short walk from the cottage. Private parking was right at the door. This is a positive at the Pass. The on-sight manager, Bonnie, is wonderful. She was very helpful and we enjoyed getting to know her. She even got up at 4:30 am to tell us goodbye as we left for an early flight.
We stayed here for six weeks and it was just paradise. Although it's a one bed roomed cottage it is quite big compared to English cottages. Everything you need in the kitchen, comfortable bed in a big bedroom and a fantastic walkin shower. We had our own easy to use washer/Dryer plus an iron & ironing boardif you needed it, but the best of all was just outside the sliding back doors.
You are on the beautiful Intracoastal waterway which just makes this property the best! We spent plenty of hours sat on the dock watching the amazing & amusing bird life plus we saw dolphins twice right by our dock, just fantastic.
There is a pool but it's unheated so it was too cold for us to use unfortunately in November/December. But we were told that in the summer months it's like bath water.
We had a heron knocking on our door each day for food (they loved hotdogs) plus daily visits from Egrets, Ibis, cormorants & Pelicans plus Ospreys nest near by. If you love bird life you will love this amazing place.
Next door is the wonderful Bonnie, who will fix any problems if they arise but also became a very good friend of ours by the end of our six weeks.
Across the road is the shops of Johns Pass Village along with the fabulous boardwalk with restaurants & bars. Watching dolphins from the boardwalk & all the pelicans is a must.
Places we loved to visit for the day were Honeymoon Island (30 minute drive) & Fort de Soto (20 min drive)
There's a Publix supermarket & huge Walmart 5 min drive away and the beach is just a across Gulf Blvd a few min walk away.
There is no problem parking either unlike staying at some condo's, you have your very own covered area right by the front door.
We have booked again for next year we loved it so much!
wow we wanted to be close to johns pass this property is on doorstep no noise from bar across road music stops 10 pm ish , the property everything is there and more , spotlessly clean , outside my heaven fishing and pool to cool off in , white sand beach 10 min walk , next door neighbour bonnie what a lady i left a personal item and she posted back to uk we are back over in april i will recompense you then unfortunatly not using this property as we need 2 bedrooms but certainly recomend for 2 adults and children , eateries abound all around johns pass my favorite , grouper sandwich at dockside daves a short trip on trolley buss no need for car and can have drink , thank you for allowing us to use this piece of heaven
This house had everything you could use on any trip. a boat slip in back great view of the canal. across the street from johns pass( great boardwalk) and close enough to the beach to walk with no problems. best part was the shower. large walk in shower. There was no loud noises, interruptions, or problems of any kind. Beverly was there for any questions before we arrived, and some one next door to answer any questions while we were there. Me and my wife LOVED this place
Whenw e arrived very late in the evening, all we wanted was a snack and a cocktail. Imagine how happy we were to get out of the car, hear music, and turn around to find the Baboo Beach Bar withing shouting distance.
In the moring, we discovered that there ws enough coffee to get us started (thanks to Bonnie). Laundry soap, emergency supplies of toiletries, and a great assortment of spices in the kitchen, along with every utensil you could want.
The house was great. TV, stereo, comfortable furniture (especially the bed), wonderful outdoor space.
The only thing we could have asked for was better weather.
Arriving from the UK late on a Thursday afternoon it was comforting to see the pool cleaner was busy giving the pool a clean. After opening the front door we were amazed at how big the villa was, in the UK a one bedroomed bungalow would have been half the size. Once inside it became clear that it was a fully functional unit with absolutely everything you would ever need to be comfortable and live there on a permanent basis. Outside the back door is a relaxing pool and at the bottom of the garden is the boat dock where you can have your morning coffee while watching the sun rise and the Dolphins playing then in the evening a quick 10 minute walk and you can sit on the beach and watch the sun set into The Gulf of Mexico. A 5 minute walk and you are in John`s Pass Village Blvd with many shops and bars as well as boat rentals and trips. A car is essential if you are flying in to Tampa or any of the other regional airport but we found the location so perfect we left our rental on the drive for 4 days as we spent our days on Madeira beach or around the villa. Would we recommend this to a friend ? Absolutely. Would we stay here again ? Most definitely . Go on try it , you`ll love it.
Located in the heart of John's Pass, it is a short walk to shopping, dining, entertainment, the beach, and trolley. The Pier, Salvador Dali Museum, Ft. Desoto Park, and Baywalk are close by.
Take a Day Trip to Tarpon Springs, Weeki Wachee, or Theme Parks in Orlando.
