Enjoy spectacular views from the air-conditioned comfort of our private 2 bedroom ocean front villa at Ten Bay Beach. Frommers 2007 guide ranks Ten Bay Beach as the number 1 beach in the Bahamas and Eleuthera. A Los Angeles Times article published in January, 2003 said about Bahama Villa: 'Ten Bay rates a 10-plus... a getaway straight out of central casting.'
Our home in Eleuthera has something for everyone: snorkelling, swimming, sunbathing, beach combing, boating, DVD library, complete kitchen, private cove and tiki hut, central AC, outdoor BBQ, hammock and porch furniture. Bahama Villa has amenities usually reserved for more expensive homes... all starting at only USD $1,195 per week for 2 people. Eleuthera features fantastic diving and snorkelling starting right at the Villa, caves, historic sights, and especially the beaches! With over 200 miles of coastline, this family island home will provide a positive vacation experience you'll remember for years to come.

This is our personal vacation home. We update and improve every trip we make.
Emmy And Robert Buckman purchased this villa in 2007
It's perfect location. It is on a promontory=great breezes on our large deck, amazing sunsets and sun rises.floor to ceiling sliding glass doors make you feel like you are on a large yacht. this house is better than being on a boat. We use it ourselves as often as possible ie this home is nicely appointed
BEST BEACH IN ELEUTHERA ESPECIALLY FOR KIDS. You do not need a mask to see the fish.....
The views, the privacy!!!! central ac, the vegetation, THE DOCK!!!!The extemely low tides and very wide beaches at low tide. Shade on the beach from the trees Breath taking views. Best location in Ten Bay.
Exceeded all my expectations. As nice as the pictures are on the Web, they still don't do justice to how beautiful the property and surrounding area is. The house is kept in impeccable condition and you can spend the a whole week without leaving the bay. Fishing, sun, snorkeling, amazing sunsets, nearby supplies . . . the place has it all! - Peter I., NYC USA
There are no words to describe how wonderful our stay was at Bahama Villa. A lot of tender loving care went into making this villa a most comfortable, inviting, and relaxing place to stay for any length of time! The house, the views, the patio, the deck, the sand bars, low tide, high tide, the snorkeling, the king bed, the privacy, etc. all added up to a great getaway! - Deborah Zuczek, PA USA
This is a great home. Just sitting on the deck is awe inspiring. Beautiful beach, soft sand. As close to perfect as you can get. The pictures don't do it justice. The house was just as advertised. It has every amenity you need and was clean and comfortable. We will be back. Eleuthera was magnificent, too. Friendly people - wide selection of restaurants and lots of fun to explore. A 10+
If you want to get away from the crowds - spend time with your family and just relax this is the place. After spending 2 nights at Atlantis this was heaven.
We went all over the island from Harbor Island (too commercial) to Lighthouse beach (miles of beautiful beach almost to yourself). We ate at Sunset Grill and had reasonable local fare on the deck and splurged at French Leave, Tippy's and Pascals. Great fresh fish. I would recommend getting a 4-wheel drive as some locations are isolated. Can't wait to return.
We are from Germany and stayed at Bahamavilla in august 2014 (2 adults + a 7-year-old girl). The house is very nice, the view is really fantastic! The Caribbean Sea beginns just right in front of the beautiful terrace, you are surrounded by palm trees and tropical plants. The nearby beach "Ten bay beach" also is great for swimming and shelling.
The house has a large open-air-terrace, 1 livingroom and 2 bedrooms. Furniture is o. k. and in good shape, the beds are great. Nothing is dirty or smells bad. The house is very clean. The kitchen furniture and the kitchen stuff are a little bit old and tacky but they work. The bathroom is o. k., washbasin + toilet are nearly new, the bathtub and the wall tiles are old, bathtub-faucet is rusty, but this is really no problem at all.
The telephone line was broken during our complete stay, so we had no internet and always had to go to a public internet facility at Governor's Harbour which is 10 miles away.
Our resumé: if you are coming from Florida or the East Coast of the U. S., Bahamavilla is perfect. You have a real "Robinson-feeling" (even without internet ...), Eleuthera is a nice destination.
But coming the long way from Europe (as we were), paying US 1.700 per person for the 10-hours-flight, you better go to Floridas West Coast, the Maldives or a 4/5-star-resort in Asia where you have more comfort and cleanness of the island.
Eleuthera is a great place with wonderful beaches, the people are very friendly, we never felt insecure. Food shopping, dining, rental cars (these are often very old + rotten, but cost 70 dollar per day), gasoline and all other items are double the price than in the U. S.
We had very relaxing holidays on Eleuthera, if you want real recreation you will find it there. Don't forget to go to the "fish fry" at Governor's Harbour each friday evening.
Thanks to Emmy for always answering me so quickly, you have a wonderful house.
This was our fourth trip to Eleuthera and our first time at Bahama Villa.
Bahama Villa was one of the best homes that we have stayed at in the Caribbean. The villa was clean, well maintained and the water access was exceptional. The view of Ten Bay Beach is one of the best and the sunsets perfect! Even with a few rainy days due to the beginnings of Hurricane Arthur, the view and water did not disappoint.
Many nights we would enjoy the stars and the peace and quiet. However, the amenities provided just enough connection to the world, if you wanted it.
We’ve traveled to many of the islands in the Caribbean and Eleuthera is one of our favorites, and Bahama Villa will become our first choice when we return again.
Thank you Emmy and Robert!
Wow! Amazing views all around from the porch and inside the house. The house was very comfortable and lovely. Ten Bay Beach was beautiful. Perfect location. I loved the island of Eleuthera. I had a very relaxing vacation and those views, I could not get enough of.
Add it up........FANTASTIC view + FABULOUS beach + VERY COMFORTABLE home + GREAT location X 7 days = WONDERFUL VACATION!
This was our first trip to Eleuthera and we're so glad we choose Bahama Villa, we stayed for a week. It was me, my wife and 2 year old son. The villa is approximately 20-30 minutes south of Governor's Harbor Airport. We rented a car from Arthur Nixon, suggested by the owners, and he met us at the airport. The only gripe we had about the rental car was that the car had less than a quarter tank of gas in it. We got a little worried about running out of gas but we found a station on the way to the villa.
As soon as we opened up the front door we knew we were going to love the place. Two of the walls are floor to ceiling glass doors so you are presented with the amazingly blue waters of Ten Bay. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked lunch and dinner frequently. Furniture was comfortable and there was a DVD player along with satellite TV. The bed was comfortable and had no problems sleeping. Our son stayed in the second bedroom in a pack and play that we brought with us. I also took advantage of the kayaks provided by the owner and explored Ten Bay. The deck was AMAZING! You are perched right over Ten Bay and can watch fish and sting rays swim by. The walk to the beach from the house is less than 2 minutes or you can wade in the water to the beach. I snorkeled a few times in Ten Bay. Not a lot of fish but saw some pretty big sting rays.
If you're considering going to Eleuthera I would highly suggest Bahama Villa. The owners were very responsive and helpful. Arthur was a great help too.
The word 'Eleuthera' is the Greek word for 'freedom.' The island is long and narrow island (100 miles long, 2 miles wide) and sandwiched between the deep Atlantic to the east, and the calm shallow Caribbean to the west. There are plenty of beaches where you can walk for miles and not see a soul; hidden coves, and small island settlements with friendly people. Local hitch hikers are plentiful, and provide a bountiful supply of good information on island lore, activities and interesting sites. The population of Eleuthera is about 11,000, very friendly, most of whom are engaged in fishing, farming, and the tourist industry.
Bahama Villa, a secluded beach house located at Ten Bay, is the nicest little romantic getaway on the island. The Villa is located just a few miles south of Governors Harbour, where you will find a few shops, a bakery, a bank and several restaurants.
WEATHER on Eleuthera is tropical, meaning mostly sunny and hot during the day with occasional thunderstorms.
Other Activities: Snorkeling, historic sites, boating, beach-combing,bone fishing, fishing
