Built in 2007, The Mountain Majesty accommodations include 4 bedrooms with 3 and 1/2 baths, sleeping up to 8 people in four separate bedrooms, a tri-level home with 2,500 sq. ft. of indoor living space, plus over 800 sq. ft. of decks. Beautiful pine walls & ceilings in living room, loft, and full kitchen. You'll find this charming residence a comfortable mountain home away from home. The Mountain Majesty is privately owned as a family retreat and was built with the purpose of escaping to the beauty and serenity of the western North Carolina Mountains and was designed with vacationers in mind. There are 3 decks and 3 floors, each with at least one bedroom and full bath, 4 TVs as well as DVD & VHS, pool table, foosball table, and wireless internet access for your laptops. We hope your stay at The Mountain Majesty will provide you with special memories that are waiting to be made. The Mountain Majesty is fully stocked with linens, cooking utensils, microwave, air conditioning.

    Spring might be the very best. Imagine the new green foliage in the woods, the great variety of wildflowers, the whitewater streams, exuberant waterfalls, and wildlife emerging from winter dens. Kiss cabin fever goodbye and visit.

    Summer is a favorite time because the kids are out of school and it’s traditional to vacation in the summer when both flora and fauna are at their peak. The mountain temperatures offer relief from the heat and enjoyment of the mountains is at the optimum.

    Fall season attracts visitors who will appreciate the explosion of color that comes when Mother Nature exposes the brilliant colors that remain after the chlorophyll is gone due to cooler temperatures. There is not a sweeter moment in the area than when the crisp, cool air greets the sun as it rises over the mountains.

    Winter is a marvelous time at The Mountain Majesty. If you like things quieter and easy going, then winter is for you.

My wife and I and 3 other couples stayed at the Mountain Majesty for 3 wonderful nights earlier this month (Dec 08). We really can't say enough good things about the property. The setting is peaceful and beautiful and the home is all you could ask for in a getaway rental. We recommend the property highly.

Dear Barbara and John, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful house with us. We travel every year from Germany to a different state in the US to visit them all before we travel "upstairs". Your house in the mountains is definitely the place to be in North Carolina: very clean and spotless, with a cozy atmosphere and great porches and rocking chairs to relax and just watch. We went there early October and every morning the mountains "dressed" differently: in sunshine, fog or rain, all beautiful! Thanks again!

We take a family vacation every year and this one was wonderful!!! The view is BEAUTIFUL! The home was very comfortable, giving everyone their own space yet cozy enough to enjoy each other. We had a great time!

We had my 60th birthday celebration and family
reunion at your delightful home in the mountains.
Everyone had their own space, and the younger
generation loved the game room. The views were
spectacular any time of the day! We all appreciated
the generously supplied kitchen and made use of
the gas grill for one meal. Thanks again for sharing
your wonderful home with us.

Beautiful View!

My family and I stayed at this beautiful home in May. We were there for a week and did not want to leave. We absolutely loved the home and the views. The property is conveniently located just south of Marion, and is very convenient to many local attractions. The only issue we had was that their cleaning service was not the best. We had an issue when we got there that the dining area was not clean. We had to clean it ourselves. When were preparing to depart, when the cleaning service arrived and notified us that we had to leave because they had to clean. It was over an hour before we had to be out and our son was a sleep. Barbara and John took care of the issue and we left on time with a well rested son. I understand that their cleaning issues have since been resolved and should no longer be an issue. This is the only reason it got 4 stars from me. Otherwise it would have been a 5 star visit.
